The Dutch National Police, the Ministry of Justice and Security, and the city of Amsterdam already work with us.\nThe opportunity\n A police unit or ministry decides to work with Avendar. That is where the real work starts. Before an investigator runs a first case, the privacy officer, the legal and AI team, information management, information security and the investigative team all need to say yes, and mean it. Where most companies view this as a hurdle, we see it as the work necessary to make our customers succeed.\nWe are looking for a Deployment Strategist who owns everything between \"we want to start\" and \"this runs in production and investigators use it every day\".\nThe role\n You own the deployment, end to end. There is one measure: does the customer investigate more cases. Everything that gets in the way of that is your job, whether it's a DPIA, a sceptical security architect or an investigative team that needs to be onboarded.\nMap the customer's organisation and bring every stakeholder along, from the CIO and the privacy officer to the detective who has to trust the output. You know who needs to approve our software and what they need to see.\n\nUnderstand what the customer actually needs, not just what they ask for, and agree with them on what we deploy first.\n\nRun the compliance and security track: DPIA, AI Act assessment, information security reviews. You don't have to write every document yourself, but you make sure they get written and approved.\n\nGet the product into production together with our engineers: scope the investigative process, prepare the customer, arrange the data and the people, and stay close until adoption is real. You don't build the software, but you definitely make sure it lands.\n\nSpend meaningful time on site. See where the software falls short and bring a clear ask back to the team.\n\nBuild business cases and proposals for new use cases, and present them to anyone from a team lead to a director.\n\nTurn what you learn into playbooks and tooling, so the next deployment is faster than the last.\n\nYou work directly with the founders and the engineering team.\nRequirements\nThere is one requirement: you take ownership and you get results. Everything else you can learn by doing.\nThis might sound simple, but it isn’t. It means you don’t wait for a plan or the right moment. When a deployment is stalling because a form is sitting on someone’s desk, you find the desk. When something needs doing and nobody owns it, you own it.\nWe don’t hire based on years of experience or a specific background. Legal, policy, consulting, engineering, data: all fine. You can be a recent graduate or have years of experience.\nWhat we are looking for:\nYou have gotten things done in situations where nobody told you how.\n\nYou can explain complex topics clearly, to a privacy officer, an investigator and a director.\n\nYou are willing to learn what a deployment needs, whether that is a DPIA, a data model or an integration question.\n\nFluent in Dutch and English. Most of our customers work in Dutch.\n\nYou are happy spending time with our customers across the Netherlands.\n\nNice to have: experience navigating large organizations, the public sector or regulated environments; knowledge of regulations and information security.\nWhat we value\nAction matters.
