This role is critical for the New Data Platform project, which involves modernizing the organization’s data warehouse ecosystem with cutting-edge technologies, including AI/LLM agents.\n\n Core skills you’ll bring\nProven practical experience with the design and implementation of migration frameworks or complex data tools.\n\nAgentic / orchestrated approach to the solution, including AI/LLM agents, managed workflow, and iterative processing.\n\nAbility to design the architecture and implement it hands-on\n\nStrong knowledge of SQL (different dialects) - ability to analyze and translate complex SQL transformations.\n\nScripting experience in Python and/or Bash at production implementation level.\n\nExperience with Git workflows, including branching, PR workflow, and auditability of changes.\n\nActive knowledge of Czech or Slovak for everyday communication.\n\nThe impact you'll create\nDesign the overall concept of a migration tool for translating SQL transformations and data structures from Teradata to BigQuery.\n\nDesign an agent-based approach combining:\nDeterministic migration tools (vendor-provided) for translation.\n\nAI/LLM layer for iterative SQL tuning and edge-case resolution.\n\nAutomated data validation with feedback loop (error → AI → re-run → validation).\n\nCollaborate on the selection of appropriate tools and technologies, including experimental evaluation.\n\nDefine framework operating modes: batch and on-demand, including variants usable by business users\n\nImplement the framework with workflow orchestration.\n\nIntegrate key components: SQL translation tools, data validation tools, and Git-based workflow for change detection, branching, and auditability.\n\nDesign and implement batch and on-demand launch modes.\n\nOptimize the deterministic translation component before applying AI to increase translation accuracy.\n\nCollaborate with BI and NDP architectural teams to align the framework with the target platform architecture.\n\nDocument all decisions, configurations, and create an operational manual for handover.\n\nWhat supports your journey\nPleasant working environment and stable background in one of the largest software development companies\n\nSpace to work independently and creatively with the possibility to implement your own ideas and opportunities to learn new things and approaches\n\nYou have the opportunity to influence your direction in the company\n\nHigh quality hardware and software, access to the latest technologies and specific projects\n\nOpportunities to improve your language skills, we are a major global player\n\nAt Avenga, you'll get quality support in your development thanks to a wide range of internal and external training courses, so you can push the boundaries of your competences\n\nWe offer you benefits such as life insurance and pension contribution, EN/DE/ES lessons, MultiSport card, sick days, meal allowance, lots of company events, offices in Prague Palmovka with quality amenities for lovers of sport, food and coffee, hybrid remote work after mutual agreement, and more\nPeople are at the core of Avenga.
