This is a hands-on role where you will have direct ownership of critical systems that power our business operations.\nHere you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to global technological progress while at the same time advancing your own skills and career.\nThis is you\nYou are a skilled Intermediate Linux Administrator with 3-5 years of hands-on enterprise-level experience in managing Linux/Unix environments.\n\nYou have a deep mastery of Linux operating systems, including kernel tuning, file system management (LVM, RAID), and advanced command-line proficiency.\n\nYou have hands-on experience with Puppet as a configuration management tool - which is mandatory for this role.\n\nYou possess strong networking and operational infrastructure knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP/email services, NTP, IP routing, and/or OS-level firewall configuration.\n\nYou are proficient in automating routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.\n\nYou are familiar with Git and GitFlow-based processes for managing and versioning infrastructure and configuration changes.\n\nYou are proactive about system health, security, and performance, and you thrive in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.\n\nYou take ownership of system stability and security, and you enjoy working collaboratively to drive continuous improvement.\n\nNice to have skills:\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure\n\nHands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)\n\nFamiliarity with Ansible for configuration management\n\nKnowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or Docker Swarm\n\nCertifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect\n\nThis is your role\nInstall, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix-based servers in both physical and virtual environments, ensuring system stability, reliability, and optimal performance.\n\nMonitor system health (CPU, memory, storage, network usage) and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.\n\nImplement and maintain security hardening standards, manage user access and permissions, and ensure timely patching and vulnerability remediation.\n\nManage and execute regular backup procedures, and maintain and test disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity.\n\nParticipate in on-call support for business-critical infrastructure if required.\n\nWhat awaits you at Avenga?\nThrough our values, Better Minds, Bolder Ideas, and Bigger Hearts, we strive to provide you with the tools, autonomy, trust, and assistance you need to excel.
