You will collaborate closely with engineers and domain experts to turn complex requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.\nYou will become a key member of a multidisciplinary team working on intelligent engineering systems, contributing to both the technical direction of the product and its evolution from early-stage concepts into working solutions.\nCore skills you’ll bring\nStrong hands-on experience with Python and backend development\n\nPractical experience with LLMs, VLMs, and AI frameworks such as LangChain, HuggingFace, or similar\n\nExperience building and orchestrating AI agents and agentic workflows\n\nHands-on experience with Knowledge Graphs and graph databases, particularly Neo4j\n\nExperience with vector databases such as Qdrant, Pinecone, or Vertex AI\n\nSolid understanding of Machine Learning / Deep Learning, including document understanding\n\nPractical experience with Computer Vision and object detection pipelines\n\nExperience building production-grade APIs with FastAPI\n\nExperience with Docker, GitHub, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices\n\nExperience with GCP, particularly Cloud Run\n\nKnowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis\n\nNice-to-have\nExperience working with large-scale geological, engineering, scientific, or geospatial datasets\n\nExperience with 3D visualization, 3D data, or interactive graphical interfaces\n\nExperience with Streamlit, React, or similar technologies for building data/AI interfaces\n\nFamiliarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal or Celery\n\nExperience with engineering documentation such as P&IDs, technical specifications, or simulation models\n\nExperience with 1D simulation models or tools such as Amesim\n\nExperience working in an early-stage or Founding Engineer-type environment, taking ownership across multiple technical areas\n\nThe impact you'll create\nBuild end-to-end data pipelines, from scraping and ingesting large-scale geological and engineering datasets to processing and structuring data for AI applications\n\nConvert system descriptions, P&IDs, manufacturer specifications, and other unstructured sources into structured Knowledge Graphs\n\nEnhance Knowledge Graph generation by integrating real-time system data and additional data sources\n\nDesign and orchestrate AI agents and agentic workflows to automate complex engineering and data-processing tasks\n\nDevelop LLM/VLM and ML/DL pipelines for document understanding, information extraction, and system interpretation\n\nBuild KG-to-Model mapping logic to automatically generate initial 1D simulation models, such as Amesim models\n\nDevelop scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI\n\nBuild interactive 3D visualizations and interfaces that transform complex geological and engineering data into actionable insights\n\nCreate demo and admin interfaces using Streamlit or React\n\nEnsure the scalability, observability, reliability, and performance of AI and data-processing workflows\n\nCollaborate with engineers and domain experts to translate complex real-world problems into practical AI-powered solutions\n\nPeople are at the core of Avenga.
