In this role, you will work with BigQuery, Dataform, Python, and SQL to build and optimize data pipelines, drive ETL migration initiatives, implement automation and governance best practices, and support the integration of cloud and on-premises environments while contributing to advanced reporting and analytics capabilities.\nCore skills you’ll bring\nIn-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery and Dataform, including:\nData management and processing (data modeling, data pipelines, SQL development)\n\nProcess control and automation (orchestration, CI/CD, monitoring)\n\nUser access and permissions management\n\nIntegration between cloud-based and on-premises applications (e.g., Landing Zone → BigQuery)\n\nAuthentication and authorization mechanisms\n\nStrong expertise in Python and SQL, including implementation, optimization, and automation of migration processes, testing, and regression testing.\n\nExperience with Informatica and the migration of ETL processes to BigQuery/Dataform is considered a strong advantage.\n\nFamiliarity with QLIK and equivalent solutions available within the GCP ecosystem is a plus.\n\nGood command of German and English, both written and spoken.\n\nThe impact you'll create\nDesign and develop scalable data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a focus on BigQuery and Dataform.\n\nDevelop, optimize, and maintain data models, SQL code, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data transformation processes.\n\nSupport the migration of ETL workflows from Informatica to BigQuery/Dataform, including the automation of migration, testing, and regression testing activities using Python and SQL.\n\nImplement and maintain orchestration, CI/CD processes, monitoring solutions, user access management, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.\n\nSupport integrations between GCP and on-premises systems, and contribute to the modernization of reporting and analytics solutions.\n\nPeople are at the core of Avenga.
