You’ll develop new firmware functionality, design and maintain APIs used to test different parts of the devices, and work with the related build and test environment. This gives you the opportunity to contribute across several stages of embedded software development rather than focusing on just one part of the process.\nYou’ll work in a cross-functional engineering environment alongside professionals from embedded software development, CI/CD, QA and test automation, and systems and hardware integration.\nThis is an onsite position in Lund, Sweden, with office presence expected on all working days.\nCore skills you’ll bring\nAt least 5 years of experience in embedded software development\n\nHands-on development experience with C, Python, and Groovy\n\nSolid experience working with Linux / Embedded Linux\n\nPractical experience working with embedded devices\n\nExperience designing and developing APIs\n\nHands-on experience with version control and code review using Git and Gerrit\n\nExperience working with BitBake\n\nPractical experience with Jenkins and Artifactory\n\nExperience using Visual Studio Code in your development work\n\nUpper-intermediate English or above\n\nNice-to-have\nExperience writing unit tests\n\nSwedish language skills\n\nThe impact you'll create\nDevelop and enhance embedded firmware, implementing new functionality in line with project requirements.\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain APIs that support the testing of different parts of embedded devices.\n\nMaintain and extend existing software and APIs, keeping them aligned with evolving requirements.\n\nConfigure and run Jenkins jobs to support the development, build, and testing activities.\n\nDevelop, maintain, and execute tests for the APIs you build, contributing to reliable embedded software and consistent testing.\n\n What supports your journey\nPeople are at the core of Avenga.
