The role involves system administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, patching, automation, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of critical systems.\nKey Responsibilities\n• Administer and maintain Unix/Linux servers, including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.\n• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.\n• Manage patching, updates, vulnerability remediation, and system security.\n• Develop and maintain Bash/Korn shell scripts to automate operational tasks.\n• Manage file systems, LVM, RAID, backups, and system configurations.\n• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure timely resolution within SLA.\n• Support networking services including TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, and SSH.\n• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.\n• Support disaster recovery planning and exercises.\n• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, stakeholders, and project teams on technical initiatives.\n• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.\n• Support implementation of new technologies and identify opportunities for process improvement.\nRequirements\n• 3–5 years of hands-on Unix/Linux system administration experience.\n• Strong experience with RHEL, CentOS, and/or Ubuntu.\n• Proficiency in Bash and/or Korn shell scripting.\n• Good knowledge of file systems, LVM, and RAID.\n• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or similar.\n• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, and SSH.\n• Experience with patching and vulnerability management.\n• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\n• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.\nGood to Have\n• Ansible, Puppet, or Chef\n• Docker / Kubernetes\n• AWS, Azure, or GCP\n• Git\n• Performance tuning and optimization\n• RHCSA, LPIC, or equivalent certification\nWHAT’S ON OFFER\nYou will be remunerated with an excellent base salary and entitled to attractive company benefits.
