The position focuses on analyzing incoming provider data, preparing the data for import into SQL Server, and overseeing a repeatable process for developing C# Windows Services that load approved data into the database. Incoming data may be provided in a variety of formats, including CSV, Microsoft Excel (XLS/XLSX), HTML, and other structured or semi-structured formats. Excel workbooks may contain multiple worksheets with different structures. The successful candidate does not need extensive experience with cloud platforms, modern web development, or complex application architecture. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, working knowledge of C# and SQL, attention to detail, and the ability to provide technical direction to other developers.Join a collaborative team that values AVER’s mission, focus, and culture of delivering exceptional client service through great people and transformative technology solutions that enable Government mission success.\nResponsibilities Include:\nAnalyze incoming provider files and determine their structure, fields, data types, and relationships.\nIdentify potential data-quality or structural issues requiring clarification.\nDetermine how source data should be converted into the client’s required CSV format.\nConvert Excel, HTML, and other supported source data into the required CSV format.\nDevelop proposed SQL Server table structures for client review and approval.\nReview incoming provider data files and understand their basic structure.\nExamine columns, sample values, data types, and potential data-quality issues.\nCreate approved SQL Server table and ensure they are created according to approved designs.\nUse an established .NET Framework 4.8 Windows Service as the template for new data-loading services.\nConfigure and modify C# services to process approved CSV files and bulk load data into SQL Server\nConfigure services to bulk load CSV data into designated SQL Server tables\nValidate source data, converted CSV files, and database results\nHandle more complex or unusual provider datasets and troubleshooting difficult issues\nMaintain consistency across services, database structures, documentation, and development practices\nEnsure developers follow established client procedures and technology restrictions\nWork within the approved architecture rather than introducing unnecessary technologies or redesigning established processes\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent practical technical experience, subject to contractual requirements\nExperience Requirements:\n8+ years of technical analysis experience with 3+years of relevant software development, SQL, or data-processing experience preferred, but demonstrated ability is more important than a specific number of years\nExperience with C#, .NET Framework 4.8, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, Windows Services, Windows Server, Client-approved libraries and NuGet packages\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework\nWorking knowledge of SQL/T-SQL\nAbility to create and modify SQL Server tables\nAbility to determine appropriate SQL data types from source data\nExperience working with CSV, Excel, or other structured data files\nStrong data-analysis and problem-solving skills\nAbility to identify data inconsistencies and know when additional clarification is required\nAbility to troubleshoot basic application and data-loading issues\nAbility to review another developer’s work and provide clear technical guidance\nKnowledge of Public cloud services and common external development platforms are not part of the development process.
