Join a collaborative team who values AVER’s mission, focus, and culture of delivering exceptional client service with great people and transformative technology solutions that ensure Government mission success. \nResponsibilities Include:\nLead the design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of complex data-driven applications, systems, and reporting platforms\nProvide solutions architecture expertise to align technical solutions with mission objectives, operational requirements, and strategic priorities\nCoordinate daily development activities, including priorities, assignments, schedules, dependencies, risks, and deliverables\nDesign and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable architecture for application and data environments\nDevelop and optimize data integration solutions, including ETL/ELT processes, automated workflows, and enterprise data pipelines\nArchitect and support data lakes, data fabric, and related technologies to enable efficient data access and analytics\nDevelop, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL solutions using Redshift, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and similar platforms\nUse Python, Java, and similar programming languages to develop, enhance, and automate system capabilities\nConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure supporting applications, databases, reporting tools, and mission systems\nIntegrate databases, data lakes, dashboards, and reporting environments to ensure reliable data availability\nMonitor and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability through tuning and optimization\nImplement data quality controls to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise data\nSupport software testing, system validation, deployment, and release activities to ensure successful solution implementation\nCollaborate with stakeholders, developers, data engineers, and program teams to define technical requirements and solution approaches\nIdentify and resolve system, application, data, and integration issues to minimize disruptions and improve the user experience\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, architecture designs, deployment procedures, and system support materials\nProvide technical leadership for modernization initiatives, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement efforts\nCommunicate project status, technical risks, dependencies, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders\nEnsure systems operate efficiently, accurately, securely, and reliably across mission, reporting, and operational environments\nSupport the modernization, enhancement, and sustainment of enterprise applications, data platforms, and reporting capabilities\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant technical field\nExperience Requirements:\n15+ years of professional work experience within data analysis, assessment and/or reporting \nExperience designing, integrating, modernizing, or sustaining data-driven applications, systems, or reporting platforms\nExperience developing data integration solutions, including ETL/ELT processes, automated workflows, or enterprise data pipelines\nExperience developing and optimizing database solutions using platforms such as Redshift, Databricks, Oracle, or PostgreSQL\nExperience using Python, .Net/ Java, or similar programming language to develop, enhance, or automate system capabilities\nWorking knowledge of data mesh and data fabric architectural concepts, including how modern data platforms, applications, APIs, and services integrate to enable secure, interoperable access to enterprise data\nExperience configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting infrastructure supporting applications, databases, reporting tools, or mission systems\nExperience independently leading high-visibility, mission-critical technical projects from solution design through deployment and sustainment\nDesired Requirements:\nExcellent collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment\nAbility to comprehend advanced technical concepts\nExperience supporting the Federal Government, such as the Department of Homeland Security, is preferred\nLocation:\nSpringfield, VA\nHYBRID, ad hoc client site delivery required\nSecurity Requirements:\nAbility to obtain and maintain government clearance (Public Trust)\nThis role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship\nCompensation Package:\nAt AVER, we believe our people are the foundation of our success and are committed to providing meaningful work, competitive compensation, and a supportive environment where employees can grow while making a direct impact on critical Government missions.
