Join a collaborative team who values AVER’s mission, focus, and culture of delivering exceptional client service with great people and transformative technology solutions that ensure Government mission success.\nResponsibilities Include:\nSupportAgile Scrum Master activitiesfacilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and enabling high-performing Agile teams\nManage and maintain Agile delivery sprint planningcadence, backlog refinement, iterative release, and cross-team coordination\nConduct requirementselicitation, gathering and clarifying business needs working directly with customer and client teams\nConduct stakeholderinterviews,leadworkshops, andmanagestructured discoverytechniques \nLead and coordinate project activities across PMO teams, establishing clear plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables aligned with CIO priorities.\nDirect financial and administrative functions include budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning/allocation to support project execution.\nEvaluate existing processes, procedures, and systems; prepare structured reports with findings, recommended improvements, and proposed solutions to managementor contractual challenges.\nDevelop project artifacts such as work breakdown structures, schedules, charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams to support planning, analysis, and decision-making.\nInterpret project metrics, KPIs, and stakeholder feedback to assess performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement across initiatives.\nSupport change management activities including stakeholder communication, training coordination, and adoption planning for new processes or systems.\nPrepare polished, executive-ready briefings and status updates for PMO leadership and CIO-level audiences, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely reporting.\nProvide daily direction and coordination to project staff, ensuring alignment, accountability, and consistent progress across multiple concurrent efforts.\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.\nMaster’s degree preferred.\nExperience Requirements:\n7+ years of technical project management, project analyst, PMO or related experience with demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects in fast-moving environments\nHands on experience as aScrum Master or similar type of role, facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and enabling high-performing Agile teams\nProven experience withAgile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, iterative release management, and cross-team coordination\nKnowledge or abilityto elicit requirements and clarify business needs through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and structured discovery techniques\nStrong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices\nExperience developing project plans, WBS structures, schedules, and analytical artifacts\nProven ability to interpret KPIs, metrics, and feedback to drive improvements\nExperience supporting change management initiatives and stakeholder engagement\nStrong communication skills with the ability to produce polished, executive-level briefings\nAbility to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and maintain clarity in dynamic environments\nStrong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and customer-focused approach\nDesired Requirements:\nExperience supporting federal PMOs or CIO-level initiatives\nFamiliarity with project management tools such as GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms\nExperience coordinating cross-functional technical teams\nPMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP Project management certificationhighly desired\nSAFe, CSM or equivalent agile certification desired\nLocation:\nWashington, DC\nON SITE, 2 days a week required \nSecurity Requirements:\nAbility to obtain and maintain government clearance (Public Trust)\nThis role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship\nCompensation Package:\nAt AVER, we believe our people are the foundation of our success and are committed to providing meaningful work, competitive compensation, and a supportive environment where employees can grow while making a direct impact on critical Government missions.
