Join a collaborative team who values AVER’s mission, focus, and culture of delivering exceptional client service with great people and transformative technology solutions that ensure Government mission success. \nResponsibilities Include:\nDesign and modernize user-centered applications, dashboards, reporting interfaces, and mission-support tools\nTranslate business and operational requirements into intuitive, efficient, user-friendly solutions\nAnalyze workflows to identify process improvements and streamline user interactions across systems and applications\nDevelop wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and interface designs for application development and modernization\nPartner with stakeholders, developers, data analysts, and product teams to define functional and technical requirements\nImprove interfaces to strengthen functionality, navigation, usability, accessibility, and the overall user experience\nBuild and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau, Microsoft Power Platform, and related technologies\nSupport data integration across multiple sources and SQL-based platforms, including Redshift, Oracle, and PostgreSQL\nContribute to architecture discussions to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with mission objectives\nConduct usability testing, user acceptance testing, and validation to confirm solutions meet business and user requirements\nApply accessibility standards and user experience best practices throughout the development lifecycle\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, workflow diagrams, user guides, and development materials\nSupport application sustainment, system enhancements, defect resolution, and ongoing modernization\nCoordinate daily development activities and track progress against team priorities and project objectives\nUse Adobe Photoshop and related design tools to create interface assets and visual elements.\nProvide technical and analytical support to assess existing systems and recommend usability and functionality improvements\nCollaborate across teams to deliver mission-aligned solutions that improve processes, reporting, and operational effectiveness\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant technical field \nExperience Requirements:\n15+ years of professional work experience within data analysis, assessment and/or reporting \nExperience supporting UI/UX design, application modernization, or dashboard and reporting solutions\nAbility to translate user needs and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, or functional interface designs\nKnowledge of usability, accessibility, and user-centered design practices\nExperience collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams to gather feedback and refine solutions\nExperience using common design or visualization tools to create mockups, dashboards, or interface assets\nAbility to independently lead high-visibility, mission-critical projects from concept through delivery\nDesired Requirements:\nExcellent collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment\nAbility to comprehend advanced technical concepts\nExperience supporting the Federal Government, such as the Department of Homeland Security, is preferred \nLocation:\nSpringfield, VA\nREMOTE, ad hoc on site maybe required per client\nSecurity Requirements:\nAbility to obtain and maintain government clearance (Public Trust)\nThis role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship\nCompensation Package:\nAt AVER, we believe our people are the foundation of our success and are committed to providing meaningful work, competitive compensation, and a supportive environment where employees can grow while making a direct impact on critical Government missions.
