Performing production floor support activities such as stocking materials, obtaining samples, changing filters, labeling and packaging finished materials. Preparing tanks to receive production batches, perform compounding/transferring operations, and loading/unloading of bulk materials. Performs housekeeping tasks. Works under the direction and supervision of more experienced operations team members. This role will be on 3rd shift, 22:30pm - 7:00pm.\nPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities:\nActivities and duties may vary depending upon site specific needs and daily work assignments. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:\nMoves manufacturing materials as required, including by hand.\n\nPrepares packaging, obtains samples, changes filters, labels and loads drums, totes, and tankers with finished product.\n\nPrepares tanks to receive production batches by transferring material or performing water rinsing to meet schedule requirements.\n\nFollows standard operating procedures including entering variables and monitoring transfers for compounding/blending materials making adjustments as needed.\n\nRecords data and maintains paperwork and spreadsheets associated with assigned work, judging for accuracy and completeness of data.\n\nFollows safety procedures when handling materials and operating equipment.\n\nMaintains a safe and clean work environment by performing assigned housekeeping tasks.\n\nFollows verification process to ensure highest quality standards are met.\n\nObtains assistance from higher level production personnel if problems arise or normal instructions are insufficient.\n\n High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.\n\nThis job may require the periodic use of a respirator. Proper fit of the respirator requires the employee to be clean shaven.\n\nMust regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.\n\nMust be able to actively contribute in a team based environment, encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.\n\nMust have a strong service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take initiative to understand root cause then communicate/educate team in a timely manner.\n\nMust demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn and share knowledge; must take initiative to cross-train and sustain acquired skills.\n\nMust have demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.\n\nMust have a strong detail orientation and be able to follow written and oral instruction.\n\nMust be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.\n\nAbility to stand on feet for several hours\n\nMechanical aptitude\n\nPreferred Requirements:\nAssociate certificate/2 years of college or equivalent experience preferred.\n\nEHS & Quality training desired, hazardous materials training desired.\n\nFork lift and Yard Truck experience desired.\n\n1-2 years chemical manufacturing or applicable experience strongly preferred.\n\nNOTE: The physical requirements of this role may vary by location.
