Avery Dennison is an American materials science company whose predecessor invented the self-adhesive label in 1935, and it remains the largest supplier of pressure-sensitive label materials in the world. Its more interesting recent business is intelligent labels: radio frequency identification tags applied to individual items of clothing, food and medical supplies, which let a retailer or hospital know what it actually has rather than what its records claim. Headquartered in Mentor, Ohio and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, it supplies materials to converters and printers rather than selling finished labels to end users.

The Senior Process Technician supports the efficient running of production operations, ensuring the quality of the product, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role acts as a key technical resource within the production environment, focusing on optimizing processes and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

  • Standardize work practices by reducing ‘waste’ and actively supporting process equipment upgrades and improvements.

  • Improve plan attainment and update run rates as required, ensuring machines achieve scrap and productivity targets.

  • Perform all work in accordance with standard working methods regarding safety, quality, service, and productivity.

  • Implement best practice problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot operational issues and escalate complex problems where appropriate.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally within a GMP or ISO Class 8 cleanroom setting.

  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to operate as an independent thinker to resolve operational challenges.
