The role will focus on Production Scheduling, and monitoring of work centers along with improvements to processes and preparing reports, graphs, and charts of data to ensure overall efficiency. In addition, the Scheduler/Planner prepares business-related analyses and research for Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Logistics, prepares forecasts, analyzes trends related to Planning or Scheduling, and uses the analyses to compile reports and optimize production efficiency.\nResponsibilities:\nProduction Scheduling & Operational Oversight: Captures production schedules, master schedules, operational schedules, shop work orders, material processing, requisitioning, work center monitoring, line-level associate guidance, and inter-scheduler coordination on specifications and timelines.\n\nCapacity Planning & Strategic Analysis: Captures capacity modeling scenarios, peak season planning, forecasts, comparative analyses, and trend, distribution, and network studies for inventory, delivery times, and fill rates.\n\nStakeholder & Business Unit Liaison: Captures the primary Jersey finishing liaison role, policy/procedure interpretation, and customer, vendor, and subcontractor interfacing.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Quality (ELS): Captures process effectiveness initiatives, lean concepts, ELS problem-solving tools (A3 Thinking), continuous improvement, product/process quality, waste reduction, and rework elimination.\n\nSafety, Housekeeping & General Operations: Captures health & safety adherence, safe work practices, record maintenance, and departmental housekeeping/waste removal (including assisting other areas).\n\nTeam Collaboration & Project Support: Captures cross-functional team goal alignment, shared team decision-making, facility support, and special project requests.\n\n Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Logistics, Finance or Supply Chain Management preferred) and 3+ years previous scheduling, planning, or Supply Chain experience.\n\nGeneral Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Logistics knowledge with familiarity in process documentation and improvement.\n\nExcellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, verbal and written communication, critical thinking, negotiation, project management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills amid ambiguity.\n\nProactive, collaborative, and results-oriented style with a sense of urgency, ownership, flexibility, high customer focus, and ability to interface across all levels of management and cross-functional groups.\n\nAPICS certification, ELS certification and/or Green Belt preferred.\n\n The salary range for this position is $55,650 - $83,104 / year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
