In this role, you will help deliver AI-first customer and partner experiences by designing and implementing production-ready AI features across global and regional platforms. You will work with Azure OpenAI, Alibaba Tongyi Qianwen / PAI, RAG pipelines, and MCP-based agent workflows to support capabilities such as assisted onboarding, intelligent data intake, exception handling, and AI-powered SaaS augmentation.\nKey responsibilities\nDesign and implement AI-powered features for the Unified Partner Experience, including assisted intake, onboarding automation, and exception handling.\n\nBuild integrations with Azure OpenAI and Alibaba Tongyi Qianwen / PAI for global and regional AI capabilities.\n\nDevelop MCP agents, tool integrations, and RAG pipelines to support SaaS augmentation workflows.\n\nBuild data pipelines for extraction, transformation, embedding generation, and vector storage.\n\nImplement prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, safety guardrails, and monitoring for production AI services.\n\nEssential requirements\nStrong Python proficiency for data and AI engineering workloads.\n\nHands-on experience with Azure OpenAI Service or OpenAI APIs, including chat completions, embeddings, and function calling.\n\nExperience building LLM-powered applications using RAG, agents, tool use, and prompt engineering.\n\nSolid understanding of vector databases, embedding models, and Python-based ETL / ELT data pipelines.\n\n5-8 years of software or data engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on AI / ML in production.\n\nDesired skills\nExperience with cloud AI services, Azure data / AI services, and API development using FastAPI, Flask, or ASP.NET.\n\nKnowledge of MCP, agentic AI patterns, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, multilingual AI models, or responsible AI practices.\n\nCuriosity and aspiration to experiment with emerging AI technologies while balancing innovation with reliability and cost awareness.\n\nStrong communication, collaboration, transparency, and trust-building skills, especially when explaining AI limitations, risks, and production trade-offs.\n\nAdditional proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role may involve supporting stakeholders and business activities in Mandarin-speaking markets.\n\nIT at AVEVA\nOur global team of 300+ IT professionals is responsible for the systems and platforms that keep AVEVA running.
