This role leads test planning, test execution coordination, test infrastructure development, and test automation enablement to ensure products are delivered with high quality and predictable release readiness.\nThe QA Lead works closely with Development, Product Management, DevOps, and Global QA teams to establish scalable testing practices, improve test efficiency, and continuously enhance product quality.\nResponsibilities\nOwn overall test strategy, test planning, and quality assurance activities for China HMI products.\nCoordinate and prioritize testing resources across HMI, SCADA, Historian, and related products to support development and release schedules.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test reports, quality metrics, and release quality assessments.\nEstablish, maintain, and continuously improve automated testing capabilities, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.\nBuild and manage testing infrastructure, test environments, test devices, and automation platforms to improve testing efficiency and coverage.\nCollaborate with Development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.\nMonitor product quality indicators, identify quality risks, and drive corrective actions before product release.\nDefine and track quality KPIs, including test coverage, automation coverage, defect leakage, defect turnaround time, and release quality metrics.\nDrive root cause analysis of major defects and promote continuous quality improvement initiatives.\nCollaborate with Global QA and Product teams to align testing processes, standards, and best practices.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.\n5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, quality engineering, or software development.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices.\nExperience creating test plans, test strategies, test reports, and release quality assessments.\nExperience coordinating testing activities across multiple teams and products.\nFamiliarity with test automation frameworks and automated testing practices.\nExperience with CI/CD environments and integration of automated testing into release pipelines.\nStrong defect analysis, troubleshooting, and risk assessment skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nGood written and spoken English.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience as QA Lead, Quality Engineering Lead, Test Architect, or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).\nExperience building and maintaining automated test infrastructure and testing platforms.\nHands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.\nExperience with API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent technologies.\nExperience integrating automated testing into Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD systems.\nExperience developing automated test frameworks using C#, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.\nExperience testing industrial software products such as HMI, SCADA, Historian, MES, or Industrial IoT solutions.\nExperience defining and implementing engineering quality metrics and dashboards.\nR&D at AVEVA\nOur global team of 2000+ developers work on an incredibly diverse portfolio of over 75 industrial automation and engineering products, which cover everything from data management to 3D design.
