The Center of Excellence (COE) encompasses both standard products and custom-developed components of AVEVA-based solutions. As such, the COE Engineer is responsible for developing and testing new solution features, as well as identifying and resolving application issues related to custom products and integrated AVEVA solutions.\nKey responsibilities\nThe Services Senior Engineer applies a combination of technical expertise, solution knowledge, and application-specific software skills to:\nWork closely with our DEV and SUPPORT teams to master the customer solutions.\nResearch, identify, develop, and recommend software enhancements to address new feature requirements and application issues identified in the field or internally.\nSupport customers in adopting new solutions and resolving potential technical issues.\nAssist Application Engineers (L2) with site-specific difficulties during new site commissioning as well as system upgrades and expansions.\nParticipate in post-release and pilot phases of power monitoring system development projects by providing feedback, executing test scenarios and use cases, and contributing to product validation and unit testing.\nResolve technical issues escalated internally by Application Engineers and Engineering teams.\nIdentify and analyse product and solution failures, and support Engineering teams in understanding and resolving them.\nContribute to the documentation of new solution features using the Knowledge Base tool.\nDesign, plan, research, evaluate and test complex systems used to monitor and/or control the program execution into the systems\nEssential requirements\nExperience in software, database and/or troubleshooting, diagnosis and problem solving\nSQL Database querying and programming experience\nProgramming experience (5 years minimum)\nUnderstanding of SCADA and HMI systems\nPositive attitude, enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer-focused\nPeople-person and team player, enjoying the cross-functional interaction required for this position\nQuick learner with an inquiring mind\nStrong technical writing and verbal communication skills in English.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\nAbility to work effectively with professionals from a wide range of technical backgrounds, including consultants, engineers, energy managers, developers, architects, team leaders, account managers, and sales professionals.\nAbility to travel to various customer sites in the region and worldwide\nDesired skills\nManufacturing Execution System experience (MES)\nKnowledge of AVEVA products\nAVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
