Additionally, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to meet unique requirements and work with hardware and software systems and platforms to deliver a system with robust capabilities.\nYou will also install control programs and touch panel designs onsite, offsite, and remotely. This position supports Global Accounts through the implementation and maintenance of standardized Core+ programming frameworks, with a strong emphasis on Q-SYS and Crestron technologies. The Programmer 2 collaborates with international programming teams to develop, enhance, and deploy scalable programming solutions across enterprise AV environments.\nDay-To-Day Responsibilities:\nRead and interpret AV systems drawings \nGather programming requirements \nCreate control modules, control code and user interfaces \nPerform commissioning and acceptance testing of code\nTest integrated systems and perform troubleshooting as needed\nDemonstrate completed system to client\nCreate end-user and programming-related documentation\nMaintain and update programming code in installed systems\nMaintain control code in version control repository\nManage programming activities using GitLab to track issues, manage source control, support deployments, and collaborate with development teams\nSupport Global Accounts deploying standardized Core+ Q-SYS and Crestron solutions\nCollaborate with international programming teams to develop and maintain reusable programming frameworks and standards\nTravel to various job sites required\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nMust-Haves:\nProficient in uploading and downloading software in embedded systems, and in control system design (Crestron, QSC)\nSolid communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues as well as the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization\nAbility to diagnose and test complex system problems\nAdvanced computer skills for the configuration, optimization and operations of AV equipment\nEnergized self-starter capable of working and thinking independently and ensuring to meet deadlines\nUnderstanding of computer networking and troubleshooting\nExceptional organizational skills and excellent attention to detail\nExcellent capability to switch tasks while adapting to changing priorities\nTwo years’ experience as an AVI-SPL Programmer 1 or three years similar experience outside of AVI-SPL\nStrong Crestron programming experience and strong Q-SYS programming experience\nAVIXA AV Technologist Certificate\nStrong written and verbal communication skills suitable for supporting global enterprise customers\nAbility to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed programming teams\nExperience working within established programming frameworks and coding standards\nMinimum High school diploma or equivalent\nValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards\nCTS (Certified Technology Specialist)\nExperience with C#, JavaScript, Lua, Python, HTML-5, PowerShell, Git version control, and GitLab\nNice-To-Haves:\nFormal education in Electronics, Software Engineering, or related field preferred\nExperience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx etc.) - both hardware and software\nWhy work for AVI-SPL (what’s in it for you)\nAs we have already mentioned, AVI-SPL are the global leaders when it comes to universal communications, and we make sure our work environment matches our status.
