Also manages a team of software engineers that architect and design enterprise software products and operating systems.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nBuild and lead an agile and responsive team responsible for any and all engineering inquires\nAssist in establishing departmental goals, objectives an operating procedures\nDevelop engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan) drawings, calculations and acoustical modeling\nReview pre-construction design and documentation\nAssist with technical design, pricing and identify any logistical challenges\nCustomer liaison for engineering inquires \nMeet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate products\nPost sales project consultation\nReview project designs created by internal and external resources\nReview hour estimation for work based on needs analysis, scope of work and bid requirements\nIdentify special requirements for project, including but not limited to: test equipment, specialized tools, rigging support\nProvide feedback to corporate and development management on process improvement opportunities and facilitate process improvement.\n Test audio DSP or video processing systems software required for system functionality\nMonitor and ensure labor expenditures do not exceed department budget\nManage internal activities that support client training\nManage or facilitate field testing of integrated systems and training client on use\nRemain abreast of A/V advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization Translate customer requirements into functional system designs\nCreate and maintain engineering related documentation in accordance with company guidelines\nMaintain scheduling and resources for the department\nTravel to various job sites required\nOther duties assigned as needed\nSkills and Abilities\nProven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operation initiatives with a results oriented approach\nDemonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment\nProven ability to mentor, educate, and develop members of the team\nStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization\nUnderstanding of engineering aspects of audiovisual systems design and installation preferred\nAbility to motivate and effectively lead large project teams comprised of technical, administrative, and engineering personnel toward a common goal\nUnderstanding of construction project management applied to audiovisual projects\nProficient with test and calibration equipment preferred\nAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines\nMust have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally\nDemonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills\nEducation and/or Experience\nMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred\nMinimum of 7 years of A/V experience with 4 years of Engineering Management experience preferred\nCapability of managing multiple million dollar budget Integration projects simultaneously is a plus\nAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints preferred\nExperience operating in a complex matrix business environment is desirable\nExcellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft applications including Microsoft Project\nValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards\nE\nWorking Environment\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
