We believe that success starts with a sound team and that an inclusive and diverse workplace moves us all forward.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nAs part of XTG (Experience Technology Group), Technologists provide creative AV designs to enable experiential storytelling. This customer-facing, senior design role supports business development, leads pre-sales creative engineering and provides on-going post-sales project support. The Technologist should be skilled in technology consulting for both internal sales and customers, providing leadership in planning and budgeting. Responsibilities include creating system descriptions, block flow diagrams, estimating hours, highlighting logistical challenges for pricing, and preparing equipment lists for customer proposals.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nProvide creative technology and AV design leadership for XTG and their partners supporting the Dubai office.\nPartner with XTG Business Development Team to build relationships within the experiential design community internationally\nWork with the XTG Director of Strategic Partnerships to track new contacts and nurture existing partner relationships\nTranslate customer requirements into creative visioning presentations and functional system designs\nCommunicate design intent with hand sketches, electronic drawings, renderings, diagrams, outlines, storyboards, and/or narratives\nContribute to the development of engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan) drawings, calculations and facilitate coordination with disciplines and trades\nReview pre-construction design and documentation\nAssist with technical design pricing and identify any logistical challenges\nGenerate functional system descriptions and block diagrams\nProvide engineering support to project installation team when needed\nServe as Customer liaison for engineering inquiries\nMeet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate products and identify new creative technologies\nPost sales project consultation\nReview and validate the work of Design Engineers\nTravel to various job sites is required\nSupport of meetings outside of local time zones is required (up to 20 times per year)\nOther duties assigned as needed\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nMust Haves:\nExcellent customer-facing and communications skills\nCommunicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely manner\nTrack record of designing and implementing experiential AV solutions\nAbility to work and think creatively as well as independently and ensuring to meet deadlines and solving problems with a 'how can it be done' attitude\nAbility to diagnose complex system problems\nSupport user acceptance testing\nAdvanced computer skills as required for the design configuration and operation of AV equipment\nAbility to travel nationally and internationally is required\nPrevious work with consultancy, creative agency, production house or creative fabricator \nAt least 10 years of AV experience\nValid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards\nMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent \nAble to attend daily meetings and participate in project activities scheduled in Gulf Standard Time (GST) and attend weekly office meetings in Dubai.\nNice-to-Haves:\nFormal education in Electronics or related field preferred\nAVIXA CTS-D \nA four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience.
