This position will support the Operations and Engineering Manager while serving as a change agent to help improve overall communication, project execution, and efficiency within Engineering.\nDay-To-Day Responsibilities:\nSupport the local office Engineering Management as a subject matter expert and escalation resource in \ncoordination with local Operations Management.\nProvide leadership and guidance to local engineering team by coaching and motivating to \nsuccessfully perform job requirements and to meet and exceed goals and objectives.\nShare, teach, and reinforce the use of AVI-SPL standard practice across the team.\nCommunicate through daily huddles with the team to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate completion of engineering tasks.\nLead the engineering team with a positive attitude that is in alignment with teamwork, mission, vision, and values of the organization.\nSupport leadership with establishing departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedure.\nPerform frequent spot checks of team’s work to ensure accuracy and adherence to all company standards.\nConduct lessons learned meetings as necessary.\nReview pre-construction design and documentation, technical design, and pricing as needed.\nMeet with vendors and prospective vendors to help evaluate products and be a customer liaison for engineering inquires and post sales project consultation.\nReview project designs created by internal and external resources, and hour estimation for work based on needs analysis, scope of work and bid requirements.\nStay up to date with AV advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation in accordance with company guidelines and translate customer requirements into functional system designs.\nContribute to improving process workflows, maintaining system administration, scheduling, and resources for the department. \nPerform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nMust-Haves:\nAbility to mentor, educate, and develop members of the team.\nAbility to understand the team and provide solutions for optimal performance.\nCommunicate and interact with internal employees, clients, and colleagues in a professional and \ntimely manner.\nStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.\nExceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills.\nExcellent capability to switch tasks while adapting to changing priorities.\nEnergized self-starter capable of working and thinking independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.\nClear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally.\nDemonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills.\nAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.\nUnderstanding of engineering aspects of audiovisual systems design and installation preferred.\nUnderstand basic IP networking.\nAdvanced computer skills as required for the design, configuration, and operation of AV equipment.\nValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards.\nMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.\nEmployees operating company or personal vehicles for business purposes must be legally authorized to drive, maintain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of coverage, meeting all minimum required insurance coverage as a condition of employment.\nEmployees driving fleet vehicles must meet eligibility requirements;
