Our success starts with our people; and a workplace that champions culture and belonging ensures we grow and thrive together.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nThe Installation Technician 1 will perform installation tasks on AVI-SPL contracted projects including, but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack systems and metal fabrication per project directives and requirements, coordinating with lead Technician ensuring projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements.\nDay-To-Day Responsibilities:\nPerform installation tasks as noted in job summary and in support of Lead Technician\nRead and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints\nUse hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems installation related tasks\nAssist Lead Tech with management and security of all associated equipment and tools on jobsite\nAssist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring\nTravel to various job sites required \nPerform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.\nItems to Consider:\nAVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.\nThis position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nMust-Haves:\nGood communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and vendors\nCustomer service oriented with a focus on client satisfaction.\nBasic understanding of audio-visual systems, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing equipment, digital signage, and control systems.\nBasic proficiency in installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic), and experience with conduit runs, cable trays, and other wiring methods.\nBasic ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with audiovisual equipment and systems.\nAbility to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.\nBasic understanding of network infrastructure and how it integrates with audiovisual systems (e.g., IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).\nAbility to work and think independently and meet deadlines.\nValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards.\nMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.\nEmployees operating company or personal vehicles for business purposes must be legally authorized to drive, maintain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of coverage, meeting all minimum required insurance coverage as a condition of employment.\nEmployees driving fleet vehicles must meet eligibility requirements; comply with all guidelines, including telematics monitoring, vehicle maintenance schedules, proper use of assigned fuel and toll devices.\nNice-To-Haves:\nFormal education in Electronics or related field\nAbility to obtain formal approved clearances (Government or system specific) may be required\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nFrequent standing, walking, and physical activity.\nRegular bending, kneeling, and reaching.\nClimbing, overhead work, and working at heights.\nUse of tools and equipment as required.\nFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nHeavier lifting may require assistance or mechanical support.\nWarehouse, field, or construction environments.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.\nWHY YOU’LL LIKE WORKING HERE\nMedical benefits, including vision and dental\nPaid holidays and PTO\nEnjoyable and dynamic company culture\nTraining and professional development opportunities\nMORE ABOUT US\nAVI-SPL is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
