Our success starts with our people; and a workplace that champions culture and belonging ensures we grow and thrive together.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nAs a Project Manager in IT, you will lead defined IT projects from initiation through closure, using established governance and delivery practices to achieve agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality, adoption, and business outcomes. You will coordinate business and technology stakeholders, maintain clear project controls, and escalate issues requiring broader decisions and/or strategic direction. This will include oversight, ownership and accountability for Project Planning, Schedule, Cost Management, Progress Reporting, Risk Identification and Mitigation, Managing Project Change Orders, Milestones, Maintaining Effective Communications, and overseeing adherance to Project Governance. You will be responsible for following IT project management protocols, documenting project work progress, risks, & issues in AVI-SPL’s centralized systems, as well as facilitating all project activities within IT and across business units, including coordinating with external strategic partners and 3rd party service providers, where appropriate.\nDay-To-Day Responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain project charters, integrated plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and delivery milestones.\nCoordinate requirements, solution delivery, testing, change readiness, implementation, and project closure activities.\nManage scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, issues, assumptions, changes, decisions, and dependencies.\nManage the change order process through assurance that any scope, schedule, cost or change of terms are handled in accordance with change order procedures.\nCollaborate with business analysts to collect and document requirements to inform the scope statement, including signoff by the executive sponsor(s) and/or business units.\nFollow project delivery standards, leveraging planning and tracking tools and templates for measured execution.\nRecommend corrective actions and escalate material risks and/or exceptions to scope, schedule and budget (as defined per Program Governance framework).\nOversee all project expenditures based on project budget throughout the project lifecycle and identify problem areas, spearhead resolution, and communicate any issues.\nCoordinate testing processes (as needed), including unit testing and user acceptance\nWork with business stakeholders to establish project governance including strategic objectives and outcomes, use cases, & project charter.\nFacilitate project kickoffs, working sessions, status reviews, and decision forums with key participants from AVI-SPL, as well as with external stakeholders, as appropriate\nProvide timely, accurate, and audience-appropriate status reporting; respond or coordinate responses to all internal and external stakeholders regarding project questions, problems, or concerns, in a timely and professional manner.\nCoordinate internal teams, vendors, and external partners.\nVerify commitments, deliverables, and quality expectations.\nEnsure requirements, acceptance criteria, testing, and release readiness are incorporated into the project plan.\nCapture lessons learned and contribute practical improvements to project templates, tools, and ways of working.\nMake recommendations for project methodology, given project charter and best practices.\nExperiment with and learn new processes, techniques & tools; participate in technology communities, be deliberate about knowledge sharing for project management practices.\nPerform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nMust-Haves:\n3-5+ years of project management or equivalent delivery experience in an IT environment.\nPMP certifications such as PMP, Agile and Scrum and/or commitment to obtain within an agreed period.\nAbility to troubleshoot and solve project related issues, understand, and maintain project budgets, manage multiple projects at once, and manage large scale/high dollar projects\nDirect experience with Project Management tools\nA strong and functional working knowledge of artifacts that are central to effective Project Management including (but not limited to) charters w/stakeholder registers and scope statements;
