Our success starts with our people; and a workplace that champions culture and belonging ensures we grow and thrive together.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nThe Operations Manager will effectively manage technical and financial operations for the project design, integration and service of audiovisual systems. Additionally, the Operations Manager will oversee internal activities including all engineering, CAD, programming, field engineering, shop activities, installation and repair services, on-going engineering project support, and project sign off. The Operations Manager will also supervise external activities including all outsourced or sub-contract work in support of project installation activities.\nDay-To-Day Responsibilities:\nManage internal activities including all engineering, CAD, programming, field engineering, shop activities, installation and repair services, on-going engineering project support, and project sign off\nManage external activities including all out-sourced or sub-contract work in support of project installation activities\nOversee budget for technical services department and make recommendations to General Manager for department needs\nManage internal activities to support client expectations\nMentor Level I, II and III technicians in absence of Installation Manager\nMonitor and ensure labor expenditures do not exceed department budget\nCoordinate with Installation Manager as needed to secure necessary headcount for installation jobs\nManage internal activities that support client training\nManage or facilitate field testing of integrated systems and training client on use\nAct as the customer liaison in absence of Project Manager\nCreate and maintain project related documentation in accordance with company guidelines\nMaintain scheduling and resources for the department\nTravel to various job sites required \nPerform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nMust-Haves:\nMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.\nMinimum 4 years of Management experience in similar or related field\nProven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operational initiatives with a results-oriented approach\nDemonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment\nStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization\nExcellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft applications including Microsoft Project\nAbility to motivate and effectively lead large project teams comprised of technical and administrative personnel toward a common goal\nUnderstanding of construction project management applied to audiovisual projects\nProficient with AV, project management theory and practices or other electro-mechanical installation techniques\nAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines\nMust have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally\nEmployees operating company or personal vehicles for business purposes must be legally authorized to drive, maintain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of coverage, meeting all minimum required insurance coverage as a condition of employment.\nEmployees driving fleet vehicles must meet eligibility requirements; comply with all guidelines, including telematics monitoring, vehicle maintenance schedules, proper use of assigned fuel and toll devices.\nNice-To-Haves:\nUnderstanding of technical aspects of audiovisual systems design and installation\nProficient with test and calibration equipment\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is preferred\nExperience in the AV industry is preferred\nCTS General certification preferred\nAbility to manage a 10 million dollar budget is a plus\nDemonstrated knowledge interpreting and managing work-in-progress (WIP) reports\nAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints preferred\nExperience operating in a complex matrix business environment is desirable\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nCombination of sitting, standing, and walking.\nFrequent verbal communication and presentations.\nFrequent use of computers and mobile devices.\nTravel may be required.\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.\nOffice and client-site environments.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.\nWHY YOU’LL LIKE WORKING HERE\nMedical benefits, including vision and dental\nPaid holidays and PTO\nEnjoyable and dynamic company culture\nTraining and professional development opportunities\nMORE ABOUT US\nAVI-SPL is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
