We believe that success starts with a sound team and that an inclusive and diverse workplace moves us all forward.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nThe Installation Manager is responsible for managing, leading and coordinating the fabrication and installation department, to ensure deliverables are on time, budget and meet AVI-SPL’s quality standards and best practices. The Installation Manager is also responsible for coordinating with Project Management and other department heads to ensure all internal engineering, CAD and programming deliverables are prepared for field engineering, shop, and installation activities. This role will also manage and coordinate external activities including all outsourced or sub-contract work in support of project installation activities. As an Installation Manager, you will mentor all technical staff.\nDay-To-Day Responsibilities:\nBuild, manage and lead fabrication and installation workforce through recruiting, training, resource scheduling and best practices techniques\nCoordinate with Project Manager and other department heads to ensure necessary project documentation and deliverables are prepared for fabrication and installation activities and work with direct lead technicians assigned to project\nOversee installation budget for department and make recommendations to upper management as needed\nDrive adoption and compliance of AVI-SPL Installation & Fabrication standards and best practices\nOversee quality control of shop fabrication and onsite installation activities\nMonitor and ensure labor expenditures to not exceed budget\nCoordinate fleet vehicle maintenance, equipment delivery and associated responsibilities, field install and trouble-shooting support as needed\nAct as customer liaison in absence of Project Manager\nCoordinate control system programming and field testing of integrated systems and training client on use\nRead and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints\nUse hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks\nPerform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting displays and metal fabrication when needed\nAssist with turn-over of project to service department at completion of each project and with project sign off when needed\nTravel to various job sites when needed\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nMust-Haves:\nExperience with planning, implementing and managing the activities of an installation workforce through recruiting, training, resource scheduling and best practices techniques\nExperience developing and implementing business processes and streamlining operations\nAbility to manage and direct projects to completion\nAbility to lead with confidence and create alignment among management\nAbility to attract and develop staff\nAbility to direct a team towards a cohesive set of strategic objectives and maintain efficient timelines in the completion of tasks\nProven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operation initiatives with a results-oriented approach\nKnowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control\nExceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written\nExcellent capability to switch tasks while adapting to changing priorities\nAbility to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization\nEnthusiastic self-starter capable of working independently and ensuring to meet deadlines \nAbility to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner\nAbility to manage small to medium projects\nValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards\nMinimum High School Diploma or equivalent\nNice-To-Haves:\nBachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field (MBA or master’s degree is preferred)\nMinimum 4 - 6 years’ installation management experience managing a diverse operation with multiple business units preferably in the Audio Visual or Construction industry\nDemonstrated knowledge and experience with construction or project management theory and practices preferred\nFamiliarity with AV or other electro - mechanical systems a plus\nMinor programming capability (AMX/Creston) - changes and troubleshooting\nWHY YOU’LL LIKE WORKING HERE\nMedical benefits, including vision and dental\nPaid holidays, sick days, and personal days\nEnjoyable and dynamic company culture\nTraining and professional development opportunities\nMORE ABOUT US\nAVI-SPL is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
