This role will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving quality issues throughout the product lifecycle-from incoming materials and production builds to field/service returns.\nThis position combines engineering-level problem solving with hands-on quality activities, including inspections, audits, failure analysis, data analysis, supplier quality management, and production support.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupplier Quality Management\nInvestigate and resolve supplier quality issues involving electronic, mechanical, and other components from incoming inspection, production, R&D, inspection, and field/service activities.\nIssue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and work with suppliers to develop, review, and approve Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) responses.\nReview supplier quality performance and maintain the Supplier Quality Scorecard, including quality-related metrics and trends.\nReview and approve supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), First Article Inspection (FAI), and incoming inspection documentation.\nMonitor supplier corrective actions and ensure issues are effectively resolved and sustained.\nMaintain supplier quality documentation and certifications.\nManufacturing & Production Quality\nInvestigate production issues, determine risks and root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering and Manufacturing.\nReview Material Review Board (MRB) decisions and drive appropriate disposition and corrective actions.\nSupport production teams in resolving material, assembly, process, and product quality issues.\nPerform and support FAI/incoming inspections, testing, daily process audits, layer audits, and quality inspections.\nGenerate and communicate Quality Alerts when required.\nPerform quality inspections on robots and production equipment.\nManage defective, quarantined, and non-conforming materials, including scrap, return to vendor (RTV), return-to-stock, and other dispositions.\nEngineering & Design Quality\nEvaluate engineering-related quality issues, assess product and production risks, and determine appropriate containment and corrective actions.\nCreate and manage Issue Management (IM) tickets for engineering and R&D issues.\nWork directly with engineers to investigate and resolve design, hardware, component, and manufacturing-related issues.\nReview and approve Developmental Phase (DEV) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) changes and complete assigned quality tasks within Arena.\nEnsure quality requirements and actions associated with ECOs and DEVs are completed.\nParticipate in engineering reviews and provide quality input on product and process changes\nOut-of-Box & Product Quality\nGenerate and maintain Out-of-Box (OOB) quality reports.\nAnalyze OOB data, identify trends and recurring failure modes, and communicate issues to responsible teams.\nCoordinate cross-functional corrective actions and ensure OOB issues are resolved.\nMonitor product quality metrics and generate reports/graphs for First Pass Yield (FPY), Scrap, OOB, Production Quality, and other key quality indicators.\nUse quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.\nField & Service Quality\nSupport Service teams with hardware-related quality issues and provide technical quality consultation.\nInvestigate parts returned from the field or service teams, including components used to repair robots.\nPerform measurements, inspections, and failure analysis on returned parts.\nReview field issues reported by Service teams and identify trends and recurring problems.\nReview field quality issues in Salesforce, investigate root causes, and coordinate RCCA activities.\nWork with Service, Repair, Engineering, R&D, and Suppliers to resolve field failures.\nDevelop and improve processes for collecting and analyzing field quality data, including data from customer/store locations.\nQuality Systems, Inspection & Compliance\nPerform incoming inspection and FAI activities and ensure results are properly documented.\nEnter and maintain quality-related transactions and records in Epicor, including scrap, RTV, return-to-good-stock, non-conformance, and inspection activities.\nMaintain equipment calibration records and ensure quality inspection equipment remains properly calibrated.\nMaintain Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) compliance documentation for applicable parts.\nCollect and maintain current supplier certifications and compliance documentation.\nEnsure quality records and documentation are accurate, complete, and up to date.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExperience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or a similar engineering role.\nStrong experience with root cause analysis, RCCA, NCR, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), and non-conformance management.\nExperience reviewing PPAP, FAI, supplier corrective actions, and quality documentation.\nAbility to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and/or PCBA-related quality issues.\nExperience working cross-functionally with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Suppliers, Service, and Repair teams.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret quality data and identify trends.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and provide hands-on production support.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with robotics, automation, electronics, or complex electromechanical products.\nExperience with PCBA troubleshooting and failure analysis.\nExperience with Arena PLM, Epicor, Salesforce, or similar systems.\nKnowledge of ECO/Engineering Change Notice, DEV, PPAP, FAI, MRB, NCR, RCCA, and CAPA processes.\nKnowledge of RoHS and REACH requirements.\nExperience with supplier quality management.\nFamiliarity with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Pareto analysis, SPC, and
