This role focuses on ensuring security, reliability, and operational efficiency, while driving automation and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive, technically skilled engineer with experience in cloud networking, security best practices, and multi-cloud integration.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, deploy, and maintain cloud network architectures in public clouds (Azure, AWS).\n\nConfigure and manage virtual networks, SD-WAN, firewalls, and load balancers.\n\nImplement network security best practices, including segmentation, encryption, and policy enforcement.\n\nCollaborate with security operations and architecture teams to remediate network security gaps.\n\nPartner with cross-functional teams to implement seamless integrations across PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS environments.\n\nMonitor and manage multi-cloud networking environments, driving incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.\n\nEvaluate and integrate cloud-native networking solutions such as service meshes and private links.\n\nOptimize cloud network performance and efficiency, driving cost savings and operational improvements.\n\nMaintain compliance with SOX and PCI standards, including evidence creation and audit readiness.\n\nResearch emerging cloud networking technologies to modernize the network footprint.\n\nServe as the escalation point for networking-related issues, ensuring smooth resolution and team collaboration.\n\nDrive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) to improve scalability and reduce manual workloads.\n\nSupport cloud disaster recovery and business continuity planning to ensure minimal downtime.\n\nMonitor networking metrics and KPIs to promote operational excellence and accountability.\n\nParticipate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n3+ years of experience in cloud networking technologies and infrastructure design within Azure, AWS, or similar public clouds.\n\nHands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).\n\nExperience with SD-WAN, cloud firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).\n\nStrong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN, etc.) and network monitoring tools.\n\nKnowledge of security frameworks such as Zero Trust, NIST, or CIS benchmarks.\n\nExperience with cloud cost optimization strategies.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.\n\nAbility to work independently while delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.\n\nExcellent communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.\n\nProven adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities and changing business needs.\n\nAbout AvidXchange\n\nAvidXchange is a leading provider of accounts payable (“AP”) automation software and payment solutions for middle-market businesses and their suppliers.
