This role focuses on the design, implementation, operations, maintenance, and cybersecurity of complex, large-scale IT infrastructure supporting secure environments.\nAs part of a high-performing engineering team, you will contribute to building and sustaining resilient, secure, and scalable systems that meet stringent government requirements. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience working in highly secure, classified environments.\nKey Responsibilities:\n Design and develop architectural frameworks for complex IT systems and infrastructure \n Provide technical leadership across requirements development, engineering, integration, and testing \n Support automation and optimization of engineering processes \n Conduct system assessments including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments \n Develop conceptual designs and implementation plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS) \n Perform research, prototyping, and integration of emerging technologies \n Develop and maintain system architecture, design documentation, and test plans \n Support configuration management and lifecycle sustainment activities \n Interface with government stakeholders on technical issues and system improvements \n Conduct system testing and validation against defined requirements \n Participate in interface design and system integration across multiple teams\nRequirements\nEducation & Experience:\n Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline \n 5+ years of progressive systems engineering experience \n Master’s Degree preferred \nTechnical Qualifications:\n Experience delivering IT infrastructure and integrated system solutions in secure environments \n Strong background in data center and virtualized infrastructure technologies \n Experience with: \n VMware ESXi and vSphere \n Microsoft Windows Server and Windows environments \n Active Directory and Group Policy \n DNS, DFS, DHCP \n WSUS and KMS \n Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Authorities \n Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, JSON, etc.) \n Familiarity with API management \n Experience implementing highly secure systems aligned with cybersecurity and information assurance requirements \n Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements \nAdditional Skills:\n Strong communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders \n Experience working in multidisciplinary teams \n Strong organizational and time management abilities \n Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) \nDesired Qualifications:\n Experience with enterprise application virtualization (e.g., Active Directory, SQL Server, SharePoint) \n Familiarity with SCCM and OS deployment \n Experience with enterprise storage solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, etc.) \n Knowledge of DoD security standards (DISA STIGs/SRGs) \n Experience with networking, SQL infrastructure, and software-defined environments \n Relevant vendor certifications (VMware, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.) \nClearance Requirement:\n Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph required \n U.S. Citizenship required\nBenefits\nJoining Avint is a win-win proposition!
