With an experienced and efficient staff base we work to always ensure a high level of customer\nsatisfaction.\n\nKey responsibilities:\nAbility to test, diagnose; carry out repairs and servicing and undertake all mechanical repairs of vehicles to excellent standards and to the appropriate specification.\nExamine vehicles, recognise and provide a report on vehicle (or component) defects or systems of impending failure.\nTechnicians replace tyres when worn, damaged or faulty ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with technical standards and any work instructions. Tyre replacement work involves but is not limited to.\nAbility to use a range of tools to aid the Job holder in their role and ability to work on a range of vehicles and make and models.\nAdhering to manufacturers’ procedures and processes wherever relevant. \nDiagnose the customers’ needs by listening, responding and explaining work required, to ensure the vehicle is in a safe and road worthy condition prior to leaving the depot. \nIdentify work and faulty components in accordance with technical standards and any work instructions.\nKey Objectives:\nAssist in meeting VOR days of vehicles\nProvide an excellent customer service experience\nMaintain a good understanding of outsourced third-party suppliers in order to achieve a quick turnaround of vehicle out of service maximising the volume of vehicles available for rent\nMaintain a close working relationship with individuals throughout the organisation\nAssist in maintain the parts ordering process for the fleet repair process\nAssist with all repairs required within the facility and the use of outsource supplier\nResponsible for obtaining the correct information from the customer and thus supplying the correct information through to the Mcnicoll Workshop Development Manager and subsequently the workshop technician(s) and associated administration staff\nLimited within the service department and only upon approval from the Mcnicoll Workshop\nDevelopment Manager or via Mcnicoll Hire Operations Manager\nAble to propose changes to the Mcnicoll Workshop Development Manage\nBe in direct contact with the Mcnicoll Workshop Development Manager & Lead Damage and Maintenance Administrator\nAbility to interact with team members, customers and public\n Required Qualifications & Skills\nFull UK driving licence\nCustomer service focussed· Be able to provide a clearunderstanding to customers of anywork that requires to be undertaken totheir vehicle(s)\nAutomotive Qualification: IMI Level 3Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenanceand Repair or equivalent (i.e. City &Guilds) as a minimum\nExperience & Attributes\nEssential:\nFinancial awareness\nAbility to make decisions quickly taking into account all the issues\nAssist and maintain a process or function effectively and efficiently\nCompetent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work alongside and others to ensure performance levels \nBe able to work as part of a team with motivation and continuously improving performance \nProficient Computer skills, Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.\nDesirable:\nBe able to have the foresight and ability to forward plan \nWork with IDS machine\nOther requirements:\nEffectively communicate with individuals within the organisation and with customers\nMaintain a high level of commitment to the Customer Led, Service Driven vision to make Mcnicoll Hire/Avis Budget the best provider of vehicle rental service asdetermined by our customers\nComplete regular training to company and/or industry standards\nBenefits\nEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP) provided by Health Assured -
