Join our highly motivated team and take pride in your work as we create a better future together.\nOverview\nAs a Global Analytics professional, you will use your creative and technical skills in data science to support Avison Young’s external clients and internal stakeholders. You’ll develop models that help solve critical problems and build systems that run those models reliably and efficiently. A typical day is split between designing, testing, maintaining, and building data science products with the team, and meeting with stakeholders to understand analytics requirements and data needs.\nThe base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $80,000 to $95,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.\nResponsibilities\nWork with data science and analytics leads to create productionized solutions to common client problems.\nIdentify, manipulate, and connect relevant data sources as dictated by the needs of the models.\nProcess, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.\nBuild and maintain spatial data pipelines\nResearch and design models to efficiently generate accurate solutions.\nWrite clear technical requirements, such as user stories with acceptance criteria, and track work in a project management tool such as Azure DevOps.\nAssist in summarizing and presenting findings to both clients and company leadership in a clear and concise manner.\nTranslate technical methods and limitations into plain language for non-technical business stakeholders.\nAnd, of course, other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree with advanced study in quantitative methods required; advanced degree preferred.\nExpert knowledge of Python/R, with a focus on machine learning and modeling libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, statsmodels).\nExperience with geospatial data and libraries such as GeoPandas and Shapely. Familiarity with spatial statistics tools and spatial indexing systems such as H3 is a plus.\nStrong SQL skills and experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake. Familiarity with geospatial data types and functions in a warehouse is a plus.\nData visualization skills using common libraries such as Matplotlib or Folium.\nProficiency in communicating via notebook formats such as Jupyter.
