Join our highly motivated team and take pride in your work as we create a better future together.\nOverview\nThis HVAC Technician, located in Tysons, VA, will ensure uptime of critical systems, uphold a friendly, safe work environment for the client, and maintain all building systems, fire and life safety equipment, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, office space, and any other client property. Candidate must have the ability to respond to emergency calls.\nThe base hourly rate is aligned with market data and is estimated between $48.00 to $54.00 an (hour) with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.\nResponsibilities\nTo provide maintenance and repairs and replacements on a wide variety of commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards, providing the customer with a high-quality experience including but not limited to Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, VAVs, AHU’s, RTU’s, VRV-VRF systems, Water-Source, Self-Contained & Split Systems, Pumps, plate heat exchangers, CRAC Units, Humidifiers, Gas Furnace, and associated equipment.\nPractice excellent safety procedures and holds fellow associates accountable for the same.\nPlans, manages, and schedules time effectively, working with assigned manager.\nProfessionally and effectively completes each service job, PM inspection, or day's work.\nWorks effectively within a team environment and demonstrates a willingness to collaborate, communicate openly, and consider differing perspectives.\nReports status to customer and communicates job and contract progress to customers and managers using company provided phone and software.\nPerform routine preventative maintenance.\nAvailability for On-Call rotation that may require overtime or weekend work.\nResponsible for repair and maintenance of building related mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air handling units, and other building mechanical systems while on call.\nAbility to lift heavy tools and materials up to 75 pounds, work safely from ladders or lifts, and work in tight equipment cabinets.\nAssist with obtaining proposals and coordinating work performed by outside contractors.\nMaintain van inventory, update maintenance, and service records and communicate that effectively with the manager\nPurchasing of necessary supplies and equipment, which may include the loading and unloading of these materials.\nQualifications\n5+ years of service experience, Journeyman or Master license preferred.\nExperience working with complex HVAC systems and equipment including chillers, boilers, circulating pumps, AHU’s, RTU’s, FCU’s, Package Units, VAV systems (direct digital, pneumatic and automated control systems), Humidifiers, and Cooling Towers.\nCommunicate effectively in English (written and verbal).\nAbility to pass a background and drug test.\nClean driving record and safely operate a motor vehicle.\nWorks at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.\nWalks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.\nPhysically capable to lift heavy materials and tools, climb ladders and can withstand harsh weather conditions.\nEnsure compliance with local and national HVAC codes and regulations.\nEPA Universal 608 certification required.\nOur Equal Opportunity Commitment\nOur Equal Opportunity Commitment\nAvison Young is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity within our workforce.
