The role focuses on journal entries, reconciliations, analytics, and reporting.\nAccountant Responsibilities:\nPerform monthly and quarterly journal entries in support of close and carry out feature film accounting activities. Entries include revenue and distribution cost accruals, barter and gross-to-net transactions, sub-distributor receivables and cash application, royalties and participations, title allocations, and bad-debt allowance.\nComplete monthly reconciliations, including Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt maintenance, prepayments, and gross-to-net deals, while reconciling sub-system feeds to the G/L and monitoring and clearing suspense accounts for multiple interfaces.\nPrepare the quarterly results package, P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis, quarterly roll forward and supplemental schedules, and lead schedules and support for international territory statutory filings.\nPrepare management reporting and analysis focused on global film performance, and support in-territory business decision support personnel with ad-hoc reporting and analysis.\nReview contracts and propose accounting treatment, and support special projects as requested by management.\nAccountant Qualifications:\n3-4+ years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years with a Big Four CPA firm.\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.\nExperience with financial analysis and US GAAP.\nExperience with SAP and Business Warehouse (BW).\nComfort working through change, including an upcoming ERP system implementation.\nCPA or CPA in progress is preferred.\nStrong Excel skills, including lookups, nested formulas, and modeling, is preferred.\nExperience with Hyperion, Essbase, and Oracle EPM is preferred.\nInternational accounting or IFRS experience is preferred.\nExperience with ERP implementation is preferred.\nAbility to research and apply advanced financial and accounting concepts is preferred.\nAbility to prioritize a high-volume workload, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines is preferred.\nSelf-starter with the ability to proactively identify issues and propose resolutions, strong attention to detail, and a results-driven work ethic is preferred.\nStrong oral and written communication skills is preferred.\nEntertainment industry experience is preferred.\nShift:\n8:00 AM start.\n10-15 hours of overtime expected for about 2 weeks each
