You will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, analysis, and implementation in a successful, and experienced team. Aviva has embarked on an exciting journey to modernize, craft, and build a next generation data platform to support the growing data needs of the business and to enable the capabilities of AI to drive business value.\nWe embrace a culture challenging the status quo and constantly look to efficiently simplify processes, technology, and workflow.\nWhat you'll do\nDesign, build and operationalize large scale enterprise data solutions in AWS and Snowflake\n\nDesign and Develop ETL Pipeline to ingest data into Cloud from different data sources (Files, Mainframe, Relational Sources, NoSQL, Hadoop Etc.) using Python and DBT.\n\nProficient in designing, scheduling, and managing data workflows using Apache Airflow, including DAG creation, task orchestration, and monitoring pipeline performance.\n\nWork will also encompass crafting & developing solution designs for data acquisition/ingestion of multifaceted data sets (internal/external), data integrations & data warehouse/marts.\n\nAdvocate importance of data catalogs, data governance and data quality practices.\n\nOutstanding problem-solving skills.\n\nYou are a self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced agile development environment.\n\nOutcome focused with strong decision making and critical thinking skills to challenge the status quo which impacts delivery pace and performance and striving for efficiencies.\n\nWhat you'll bring\nUniversity degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.\n\n5+ years of experience crafting solutions for Cloud, data lakes, data integrations, data warehouses/marts.\n\nProficient in AWS, Snowflake, Python and DBT to design, implement, and optimize data quality solutions for our enterprise data management initiatives.\n\nHands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated workflows and system operations using Python and Apache Airflow, with a focus on streamlining processes and optimizing performance.\n\nOutstanding knowledge and experience in ETL/ELT development.\n\nExperience implementing Data Governance principles and efficiencies.\n\nFamiliar with the Agile software development.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nInsurance knowledge is an asset - Ability to foundationally understand complex business process driving technical systems.\n\nWhat you’ll get\nThe salary band for this position ranges from $115,000 to $135,000.
