You will collaborate with senior developers, architects, and actuarial partners to support our modernization and cloud transformation initiatives while ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery. The role works closely with the Senior Manager - Software Engineering.\nWhat you'll do\nDevelop and maintain rating worksheets, rating engines, modifiers, and rating artifacts within Guidewire PolicyCenter.\n\nConfigure, write, package, and deploy GOSU code, rating logic, product model changes, and rating tables.\n\nCollaborate with business and actuarial teams to understand rating requirements and implement accurate, maintainable solutions.\n\nSupport and maintain integrations related to rating inputs and outputs (including Earnix, lookup services, and external rating data sources).\n\nParticipate in peer code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.\n\nSupport QA with rating-focused test cases, defect resolution, and validation of rating scenarios.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues in rating logic, product model, and connected rating components.\n\nParticipate in Guidewire Cloud upgrades by validating rating behaviour and completing required adjustments.\n\nMonitor system and rating performance and help identify areas for improvement.\n\nWhat you'll bring\nBachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience.\n\n3 - 5 years proven experience in Guidewire Development, ideally with hands-on PolicyCenter rating experience.\n\nExpertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins.\n\nRead code in other languages and reverse engineer products.\n\nAgile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.\n\nDomain knowledge on Property & Casualty Insurance\n\n5+ years of experience with coding in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.\n\nExpertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.\n\nExperience building modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.\n\nExposure to RESTful APIs and basic integration patterns is an asset.\n\nMust have:\nGuidewire Associate Certification.\n\nGuidewire Rating and Policy Center experience.\n\nExperience working on Guidewire Cloud.\n\nExperience with Earnix rating/pricing models or integrating Earnix with Guidewire (critical to the role).\n\nFamiliarity with Guidewire Cloud Tools: TeamCity, Bitbucket, DataDog, Guidewire Home.\n\nUnderstanding of Guidewire Messaging and basic synchronous/asynchronous patterns related to rating workflows.\n\nNice to have:\nGuidewire Ace Certification (preferably PolicyCenter).\n\nGuidewire Integration/Claim Center/Billing Center Configuration Knowledge.\n\nExperience writing automated GUnit tests for rating logic using Guidewire data builders.\n\nExperience supporting Guidewire Cloud version upgrades.\n\nExperience handling Guidewire Cloud Assurance.\n\nSQL skills and familiarity with relational databases.\n\nWhat you’ll get\nThe salary band for this position ranges from $85,000 to $105,000.
