You'll work closely with engineering teams to identify risks, implement practical security solutions, and improve cloud security capabilities through automation and continuous compliance.\nThe role combines hands-on technical delivery with technical leadership, helping teams adopt secure-by-design practices while enabling efficient and scalable delivery across the organisation.\nSkills and experience we’re looking for:\n Strong hands-on experience in cloud security engineering across AWS and Azure, ideally within a complex or enterprise-scale environment, with the ability to take ownership of security capabilities and outcomes.\n Experience working with cloud security tools such as CNAPP, CSPM or CWPP to identify vulnerabilities, prioritise risks, and support effective remediation through automation and policy-driven controls.\n Good understanding of cloud-native technologies, container and Kubernetes security, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software development practices.\n Experience implementing practical security controls, governance frameworks, and automated compliance solutions that support recognised security standards while balancing business needs.\n Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions, collaborate across teams, coach others, and explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nWhat you’ll get for this role:\n Salary circa £100,000 for National based (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)\n Bonus opportunity 12% of annual salary - Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s\n Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in\n 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days\n Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts\n Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme\n Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave\n Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work\n Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others\n We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools\nTake a look to learn more.
