Due to expansion and growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Project Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Maidenhead, Berkshire or London office location in Barbican.

As a Mechanical Design Project Engineer, you will provide up front technical support to the sales department on the specification and design of Generator/UPS systems. Assisting in the preparation of technical proposals. Focussing on mechanical packages. You will be required to develop design documentation in line with project requirements and timescales.
As the suitable candidate you will need to have an HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with up to 5 years’ experience working on mechanical projects as a Mechanical Designer and or Mechanical Projects Engineer.
This position requires frequent travel to client sites and supplier premises throughout the UK mainly London and surrounding area and some overseas. In return we offer exciting prospects, a generous benefits package including BUPA.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems using LabView software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and specifications for system design
- Create detailed technical drawings and documentation for mechanical components and assemblies
- Conduct testing and analysis to ensure system performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues or failures that arise during the design process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design technology
Requirements
- Proficiency in LabView software for system design
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Experience in creating detailed technical drawings using CAD software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information
