We are specifically looking for a Project Engineer II - Structural Analysis to provide technical expertise to cross-functional business development and engineering program team execution activities.\nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.\nRoles:\nPerforms project work within specified deadlines.\nPlans and formulates meshing and engineering analysis according to project requirements.\nWorks on specific phases or aspects of projects using CAE analysis or technical studies to provide design recommendations and define material requirements. Also supports correlations of analysis with tests.\nReviews project for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.\nCoordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design issues.\nPrepares and presents results to internal and external customers.\nQualifications/Skills:\n3-5+ years’ experience in area of expertise\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field\nMasters’ degree preferred\nExcellent communication skills\nAccountability for individual and team delivery\nActive pursuit of personal and departmental improvement\nWorking effectively with customers and other program staff and team members\nDemonstrated ability to deliver to customer program expectation\nAdditional Skills:\nExperience with meshing software to create Finite Element Models required. ANSA preferred.\nExperience in using ABAQUS solver required and META software for post processing preferred.\nExperience with stress analysis and forced vibration analysis required.\nExperience with fatigue analysis preferred.\nExperience with the following beneficial:vibro-acoustics\nHeat transfer and thermal stress analysis.\nDesign optimization and DOE\nTOSCA software\nScripting with python\nAVL AST software (Excite)\n\nAVL provides a competitive compensation and benefits package to all direct hires.
