Also support AVL new bidding cases and handle the order fulfillment projects purchasing per assignment time by time.\nThis role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services with a strong focus on source-to-contract process and supplier development.\nYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSourcing& Purchasing: Identify and source suppliers to fulfill AVL’s purchasing requirements.\nSupplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.\nContract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and conditions with suppliers.\nPurchasing: Execute day-to-day purchasing activities, including order placement, follow-up, and expediting deliveries.\nCost Management: Make great contribution to the cost optimization program corresponding to the different categories, based on the cost saving target.\nRisk Management: Identify and mitigate risks from suppliers and follow the supplier risk assessment event with Quality and engineering team per process where it needs.\nMarket Analysis: Conduct market research of the focused categories to stay informed about industry trends and competitive situations.\nCompliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements\n\nYOUR PROFILE:\n Education:\nBachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, or Electrical or a related Engineering field.\nExperience:\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in senior strategic purchasing or sourcing preferably in a project-driven or industrial environment.\nExperience in the manufacturing industry, machinery, or systems engineering industries is a plus.\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in working in the international company.\nPrefer working experience in the purchase of non-standard products or finished goods or equipment/facility in laboratories or R&D centers in the manufacturing industry.\n Skills:\nStrong negotiation and communication skills.\nProficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and procurement software (SRM).\nAbility to analyze market trends and data.\nDeep understanding in the product cost analysis and cost engineering method.\nKnowledge of trade and compliance regulations.\nAdvanced skills in supplier negotiation, contract management, and risk assessment.\nPersonal Attributes:\nDetail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in managing contracts and supplier relationships.\nTeam Player: Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.\nProactive: Ability to anticipate and address purchasing needs promptly.\nAdditional Information:\nTravel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to meet with suppliers ,attend industry events and global meetings.\nLanguage Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin and English.\n\nWE OFFER:\nABOUT AVL Engineering Deutschland GmbH\nAVL Engineering Deutschland GmbH (formerly AVL SCHRICK GmbH) is a member of the AVL Group since 2002.
