Reporting to the Senior Software Design Lead, you will develop, test and debug embedded software for residential appliance controls and IoT products. You’ll work closely with our hardware design and overseas engineering teams.\nWhat You’ll Do\nFirmware Development & System Design\nDevelop, debug and release robust embedded software (low-level device drivers, application layers and test software) in C, C++ and Assembly, under the direction of the Senior Software Design Lead.\nWork with hardware electronics designers to make sure electronics and firmware integrate cleanly, and contribute to system design.\nSupport new product development and maintain and improve firmware on legacy products.\nTesting, Debugging & Quality\nSet up and use in-circuit debug tools, data acquisition hardware and test automation to find root causes and resolve software issues.\nBuild and run test software and procedures to validate firmware against requirements.\nMaintain high code quality through disciplined version control, code reviews and clear technical documentation.\nCustomer Interaction\nWork with clients as needed on software design requirements, turning specifications into software flow diagrams and implementations.\nR&D Opportunities\nTake part in R&D work on IoT and cloud connectivity for next-generation products.\nWhat You Bring\n5+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware design and electronic controls development.\nA degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering (or a related field), or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
