Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.\nJob Summary:\nThe Customs & Trade Data Analyst combines extensive customs and international trade experience with advanced analytical capabilities to support customs operations, trade programs, tariff management, and business decision-making. The role analyzes complex customs and trade data to identify trends, exceptions, financial impacts, data-quality issues, and opportunities for tariff mitigation, duty recovery, and process improvement.\nThis role works cross-functionally with Logistics, Global Trade Compliance, Transportation, Finance, and Operations to analyze customs and trade data; expand data visibility and capture through improved tools, interfaces, and processes; improve data accuracy; identify cost-reduction and duty-recovery opportunities; and provide actionable insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate combines demonstrated customs and international trade knowledge with advanced analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience analyzing large, complex datasets in a global supply chain.\nCustoms & Trade Data Analysis\nAnalyze large and complex volumes of customs, broker, ERP, and trade data to identify trends, exceptions, financial impacts, data-quality issues, and improvement opportunities.\nAnalyze duty and tariff activity across HTS classifications, countries of origin, suppliers, products, business units, and trade programs.\nReconcile customs, broker, ERP, and other trade-related data to identify discrepancies, data gaps, and root causes.\nDevelop dashboards, KPIs, exception reporting, and recurring and ad hoc analyses to support customs and trade activities and business decision-making.\nTranslate complex customs and trade data into clear, actionable business insights and recommendations.\nCustoms & Trade Program Support\nApply knowledge of U.S. customs requirements and international trade programs when analyzing transactions, data, and trade-related documentation.\nAnalyze country-of-origin, HTS classification, supplier, product, and other data and certificates supporting customs and trade programs.\nSupport tariff preference, duty recovery, and tariff mitigation initiatives through data analysis and research.\nAnalyze customs entry and broker data and investigate discrepancies, exceptions, and potential opportunities.\nResearch customs and trade-related issues and partner with Global Trade Compliance or other technical stakeholders when formal regulatory interpretation or determination is required.\nTrade Data Visibility, Quality & Process Improvement\nDrive initiatives to improve the capture, visibility, accuracy, and usability of customs and trade data, partnering with business and technology teams to develop and implement tools, interfaces, reporting solutions, and process improvements.\nIdentify trade-data requirements and gaps across customs, broker, ERP, logistics, and other relevant data sources.\nDevelop and monitor data-quality controls and exception reporting to identify missing, inaccurate, or inconsistent trade data.\nSupport testing and implementation of new or enhanced tools, interfaces, reporting solutions, and processes involving customs and trade data across systems.\nIdentify opportunities to automate recurring data collection, reconciliation, monitoring, and reporting activities.\nPartner with stakeholders to improve the completeness, consistency, and accessibility of trade-related data across systems and processes.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives affecting customs operations, tariff management, trade programs, data, and reporting.\nPrincipal Responsibilities:\nCollects, compiles and analyzes data from various databases and performs statistical analysis for internal customer groups.\nDevelops reports and/or creates dashboards providing financial related information needed to make informed business decisions.\nDesigns, creates and implements templates to collect, display and analyze data for assigned projects\nCommunicates complex data in comprehensible ways. Evaluates information from multiple sources and clearly indicates quality of final analysis.\nDevelops reports and other tools to deliver internal company information enabling business users to make informed decisions.\nGathers, aggregates models, and analyzes information from multiple sources regarding the trade and customs landscape.\nEstablishes standards and procedures for a variety of processes, conducting business analysis resulting in detailed creation and maintenance of business process mapping, requirements and training materials documentation.\nMay participate in or lead project teams.\nIdentifies, investigates and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.\nOther duties as assigned.\nJob Level Specifications:\nExtensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts for aggregating and analyzing large data sets. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.\nDevelops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.\nWork is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.\nMay represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.\nActions may impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational goals.\nWork Experience:\n5+ years of progressive experience in customs, international trade, import operations, trade programs, or a related field, including demonstrated experience analyzing customs and trade data and providing business insights.\n Education and Certification(s):\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.\nU.S. Customs Broker License or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation preferred.\n Distinguishing Characteristics:\nStrong analytical capabilities and experience working with large datasets.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) ACE Portal; experience with SQL or comparable query tools, SAP, and trade systems preferred.\nDemonstrated knowledge of U.S. customs requirements and trade programs, including free trade agreements, tariff programs, customs entry processes, and duty recovery programs.\nAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate insights effectively.\nStrong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and drive process improvements.\nWhat We Offer:\nOur employees work hard to live our values and help us grow.
