Some travel may be required, and occasionally you’ll work outside standard UK hours to collaborate with global suppliers.\nYou will be given the opportunity to own and shape a strategically important product segment and have exposure to leading manufacturers and suppliers.\nWhat will you be doing?\nAs the Product Segment Leader for Modular Test, you'll have end-to-end responsibility for the strategic and commercial management of your product segment, ensuring delivery of sales, margin, asset management and market share objectives.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDeveloping and executing the product segment strategy to achieve sales, margin, inventory and market share targets\nManaging the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle, including new technology introductions, range expansion and end-of-life planning\nBuilding and developing strategic supplier relationships to drive business growth and maximise commercial opportunities\nLeading supplier business reviews and implementing joint business development plans\nNegotiating and managing commercial and contractual supplier agreements\nTaking ownership of product pricing strategies to support both growth and profitability objectives\nManaging inventory performance, including stock investment, turns, line fill and excess stock reduction\nPartnering with Sales, Marketing, eCommerce and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of product strategies and campaigns\nProviding market intelligence and insight on technology trends, supplier performance and customer demand\nSupporting sales enablement activities through product training and strategy communication\nMaintaining product data and ensuring products remain optimally positioned for commercial success\nResolving customer and supplier issues by working effectively with stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones\nSupporting marketing activity through collaboration with suppliers and commercial marketing teams\nWhat about you?\nWe're looking for an experienced Product Segment Leader and someone who combines strong commercial acumen with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for driving business performance.\nYou'll ideally bring:\nExperience in product management, category management, supplier management or a similar commercially focused role\nExperience within electronics, technology, industrial distribution, engineering or manufacturing environments.\nProven experience delivering sales growth, margin improvement and business performance objectives\nStrong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills\nExperience developing and executing strategic business plans\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities\nStrong commercial awareness, including pricing, profitability and inventory management\nThe ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions and levels\nStrong communication and presentation skills\nThe ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities\nA bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience\nWhy Farnell?\nFarnell is a leading global distributor of electronic components, products and solutions, helping engineers, designers and businesses bring innovative ideas to life.
