With a high level of autonomy, you will have the freedom to take ownership of key initiatives, drive improvements and bring your own ideas and expertise to the table, while collaborating with colleagues to strengthen and evolve the organisation’s security capabilities.\nThis is a flexible, hybrid working role giving you the work life balance to work from home and from the office.\nWhat's in it for you?\nAlong with offering a competitive salary package, we also offer:\nA supportive team environment where everyone really is working toward the same goal.\nA strong open-door policy within management\nAn environment where you will be given the tools and opportunities to further your career\nPension scheme\nCash Plan Healthcare Scheme\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays with option to buy additional holiday\nFree Onsite Parking and free onsite gym\nFlexible home working\nReward schemes\n\nWhat you will be doing:\nConduct security risk assessments and compliance audits and makes recommendations regarding levels of risk by identifying potential information and network security vulnerabilities. \nDevelops, maintains and publishes policies and standards related to security software systems to mitigate risk and influence user behaviors. \nImplementation, administration, and compliance with all GIS data security programs and regulations including General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)\nEnforces and monitors security related standards, procedures, techniques and guidelines.\nProvides technical guidance and consultation related to information security issues. \nIdentifies intrusions into information systems and makes recommendations for improvements/changes based on findings. \nInvestigates and recommends security technologies and solutions including data loss prevention, firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection, etc. \nShares security knowledge with employees and the business. \nManages the provisioning, de-provisioning and access levels of accounts for cybersecurity tools. \nRepresents the team as a regional point of contact. \nDesign, implement, and ensure the safety of information systems assets, data and protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.\nInterface with user communities to identify security needs and implement procedures based on findings.\nCommunicate security policies and monitor compliance. Evaluate security level requirements. \nWhat we are looking for:\nExtensive work-related experience gained in a similar role\nAbility to develop solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables.\nExtensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts.\nAble to determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures. \nDemonstrated capability to address complex security issues effectively and efficiently.\n Ability to think critically and adapt solutions to evolving security challenges. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and produce clear, concise reports. \nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a global team and contribute to collective security goals while managing individual responsibilities. \nIdeally knowledge and experience of Crowdstrike, Cribl, Netscope and ArmorCode.\n#LI-AVNET\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
