Experience what’s next at Avnet!\nJob Summary:\nConsults with customers on a regular basis concerning design, development and maintenance of product. Coordinates installation procedures. Assists sales channel, field teams and customers with technical solutions to support the customer's business objectives.\n Principal Responsibilities:\nAssists in analyzing data to determine feasibility of product proposal.\nMay be required to integrate and document Order Specific Information (OSI), first article and prototype orders.\nResolves all technical and process related issues. Documents build process and trains production staff on customer requirements, as well as industry best practices. Consults with other technology staff to evaluate operational and performance requirements of overall design/prototype.\nConfers with customers and technology group to clarify and/or resolve problems. Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout. Directs and coordinates building/manufacturing of product or system.\nReviews change requests, evaluates impact of change, and provides implementation timelines.\nMay implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to document and build process. Communicates Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) to production, sales, and customer engineering team.\nIdentifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.\nOther duties as assigned.\nJob Level Specifications:\nFoundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.\nDevelops solutions to defined tasks, typical assignments and projects. May be solved by the application of specialized foundational knowledge, using existing approaches and solutions.\nWork is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.\nCollaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.\nActions typically affect own work assignments and department. Erroneous decisions or failure to accomplish work may require some assistance or resources to remedy.\nWork Experience:\nTypically less than 2 years with bachelor's or equivalent.\n Education and Certification(s):\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.\nDistinguishing Characteristics:\nApplies concepts of business and process improvement.
