The position is required to support our expanding Water Utilities workload and will typically involve providing designs for water and wastewater, infrastructure, and non-infrastructure projects as part of a multi-disciplinary design team. This will include design delivery at all stages, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed designs for construction and commissioning.\nThe specific roles are required primarily to support our long-term framework with Northumbrian Water Group with additional opportunities to work on other projects and frameworks throughout the UK for a variety of clients.\nThis is a permanent position and will be of a hybrid nature based from our Durham office, however, other locations or alternative ways of working would be given due consideration.\nPlease note: a full valid driving license is a pre-requisite for this role.\nWhat will your day look like…\nProduce and check design concepts, calculations, design details, drawing specifications and other technical documents.\nUndertake supervision of junior design team members to help ensure timely project delivery is achieved within budget and in accordance with the specification.\nAssist in the professional development of project team members.\nAssist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget for projects including the planning, monitoring, and reporting of project resources and finances.\nPrepare and check of feasibility studies, appraisal / assessment reports and other written document\nComply with the requirements of the companies Integrated Management System including Health & Safety, Environmental and all other appropriate regulations.\nAbout you...\nCandidates should have a relevant degree qualification preferably with an additional professional qualification(s) Please note candidates with qualifications that do not fully match the criteria but have relevant equivalent experience are invited to apply.\nStrong technical background in the design of Water / Wastewater infrastructure and Non infrastructure works.
