This role offers flexibility and may be worked onsite in Plainview, NY, or fully remote.\nThe Opportunity:\nThis is more than a ticket-queue support role. As a Level 2/3 Telecom Systems Support Engineer, you will serve as a key escalation point for live production systems powering real-world communications infrastructure.\nYou will troubleshoot complex incidents across operating system, network, application, and database layers - owning issues through full resolution.\nIf you thrive in high-stakes production environments and enjoy solving problems that truly impact customers, this role deserves a closer look.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nProduction Support & Incident Resolution\nInvestigate and resolve escalated incidents on telecom platforms serving enterprise clients\nAnalyze logs and diagnose service failures\nTroubleshoot across OS, network, application, and database layers\nRestore stability in live production environments\nParticipate in an on-call rotation\nPlatform & Systems Operations\nSupport legacy platforms during end-of-life transition\nAssist with stabilization and support of next-generation systems\nPerform system health monitoring\nProactively identify and resolve issues\nManage workflows and tickets through Jira\nLinux & Cloud Infrastructure\nAdminister and troubleshoot RHEL/CentOS environments\nSupport systems hosted in AWS (GCP acceptable)\nWrite and execute Bash or Python scripts for diagnostics and operational tasks\nMaintain and support cloud-hosted telecom workloads\nWhat You Bring:\n4-7+ years of Linux administration experience in production environments\nStrong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers\nExperience supporting live production systems\nFamiliarity with AWS or GCP\nBasic scripting skills (Bash or Python)\nSolid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS)\nExperience working with Jira (preferred)\nBonus / Extra Credit:\nWhile not required, we are especially interested in candidates with exposure to container technologies, including:\nDocker and/or OpenShift\nExperience creating or deploying containers\nSupporting containerized workloads in production or non-production environments\nFamiliarity with container registries (e.g., Docker Hub, Amazon ECR, or similar)\nIf you have worked with containers in any capacity -
