Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for master's and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.\nAdvanced degree in engineering related field preferred. The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.\nRequired Skills:\nMinimum of 10 years dedicated structures MRB engineering experience at a recognized aerospace manufacturer. Must be direct MRB experience, not just in support of MRB.\nMust be computer literate in the following (but not limited to): Catia V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Word, Excel.\nPreferred Skills:\n15 years of experience.\nBachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.\nCreation and justification of engineering dispositions for nonconformances of composite and metallic, pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures.\nExperience including all components of the aircraft (wing, fuselage, empennage).\nExperience in a production and/or schedule-driven environment.\nCapability to analyze and rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength/stiffness of surrounding structure while in a schedule driven environment.\nStrong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\nUnique Skills:\nValid driver's license may be required.\nParticipation in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program may be required.\nPurpose:\nWorks on engineering projects containing critical problems, the solution of which requires major technological advances and extensive related development.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\nResponsible for an entire engineering project of major complexity within established scope.\nMakes technical decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities.\nApplies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts based on broad expertise or unique specialized knowledge.\nLeads the development of innovative principles and ideas.\nActs independently to determine improved methods and/or procedures to optimize technical product, cost and schedule requirements.\nWorks under consultative direction;
