We have the largest portfolio in the industry and can meet the highest load testing standards with our intelligent SIGMA load bank control system.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Quality Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing in-process inspections, final inspections, and product conformity assessments throughout the assembly and test processes. This position serves as a direct production support role, partnering closely with Assembly, Integration, Engineering, and Test departments to ensure load bank products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.\nThe Quality Technician actively participates in problem-solving activities, disposition of nonconforming material, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective actions. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, electrical and mechanical assemblies, technical drawings, and quality standards while maintaining a high level of visibility on the production floor.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.\nProperly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nEscalate safety and quality concerns to appropriate management personnel.\nProduction & Assembly Support\nPerform in-process inspections of mechanical, electrical, and integrated load bank assemblies.\nVerify assemblies are built in accordance with engineering drawings, bills of material, work instructions, and applicable specifications.\nConduct first article, receiving, in-process, and final inspections as required.\nSupport manufacturing personnel by answering quality-related questions and clarifying inspection requirements.\nMonitor production activities and identify opportunities to improve product quality and process effectiveness.\nConduct in-process assembly audits and Torque verification audits.\nConduct wiring workmanship inspections to IPC/industry standards.\nContinuous presence in Assembly and Test as a \"Quality at the Source\" resource\nNonconformance Management\nIdentify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials and products.\nGenerate and maintain nonconformance reports (NCRs).\nParticipate in material review board (MRB) activities as assigned.\nAssist with root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.\nVerify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.\nQuality System Support\nMaintain inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.\nSupport internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.\nMaintain calibration tracking and control of inspection and test equipment.\nEnsure compliance with company quality procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards.\nParticipate in continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing defects, rework, and waste.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nAssociate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection, assembly, or test support.\nExperience working in a production environment with mechanical and electrical assemblies preferred.\nEDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nEducation:\nAssociate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.\nEquivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.\nSkills \nAbility to read and interpret:\noMechanical drawings\noElectrical schematics\noWiring diagrams\noBills of Material (BOMs)\noManufacturing instructions\nProficiency using inspection and measurement equipment.\nBasic understanding of electrical systems and industrial control panels and electrical schematics.\nFamiliarity with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.\nExperience with ERP, quality management, or document control systems preferred.\nAbility to use Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.\nImportant to work as a team player and effectively communicate any problems with assembly, quality or safety.\nCore Competencies\nStrong attention to detail.\nEffective communication skills.\nProblem-solving and analytical thinking.\nSense of urgency and customer focus.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nTeam-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively across departments.\nCommitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nWork Environment and Physical Demands:\nThis position is on-site and is performed in a manufacturing environment, with continuous presence on the shop floor. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.\nWhile performing the essential functions of this role, the employee may be required to sit, stand, lift up to 50lbs, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer and time keeping systems.
