We have the largest portfolio in the industry and can meet the highest load testing standards with our intelligent SIGMA load bank control system.\nPOSITION SUMMARY: \nThe Safety Technician supports the execution and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across all Cleveland operations. Reporting directly to the Cleveland Facilities & EHS Manager, this role is responsible for helping maintain a safe, compliant, and training-focused work environment while supporting the organization’s operational growth and employee development initiatives.\nThe Safety Technician will play a key role in establishing and maintaining the Cleveland Safety Dojo program, including the development and stand-up of the Allen Facility Safety Dojo and associated hands-on safety training activities. This position partners closely with Operations, Facilities, People & Culture, and leadership teams to drive safety awareness, compliance, engagement, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSafety Program Support\nSupport daily execution of EHS programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives across all Cleveland facilities. \nConduct routine safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs toidentifyhazards, unsafe behaviors, and compliance gaps. \nAssistin the investigation of workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, including documentation, corrective actions, and follow-up activities. \nMonitor and help ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, environmental requirements, and internal policies. \nSupport safety metrics tracking, reporting, and trending toidentifyopportunities for improvement. \nAssistinmaintainingrequired safety documentation, records, permits, and compliance files. \nSupport emergency preparedness activities, including drills, response coordination, and equipment readiness. \nLead and support risk assessment activities, safety stand-downs, and corrective action follow-up initiatives across Cleveland operations. \nPromote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, communication, and visibility on the production floor. \nSafety Training & Dojo Development\nSupport the establishment, organization, and continuous improvement of the Allen Facility Safety Dojo training environment. \nAssistin building hands-on safety training modules, demonstrations, simulations, and standardized training materials within the Safety Dojo. \nTrain new hires on company safety expectations, procedures, and safe work practices during onboarding activities.\nFacilitate and support plant-specific safety training aligned with operational requirements, Pay for Skills initiatives, and predetermined monthly training plans. \nConduct recurring safety training, retraining, toolbox talks, and certification activities for current employees. \nPartner with People & Culture, Operational Leadership, and Training teams to align safety training with operational needs, workforce development initiatives, and operational growth demands. \nHelp track employee training completion, certifications, and recertification requirements. \nSupport the creation and maintenance of visual management tools, safety boards, training aids, and standardized work instructions related to safety practices. \nOperational & Employee Support\nServe as a visible and approachable safety resource for employees and leadership teams across all Cleveland locations. \nSupport ergonomic assessments, PPE compliance, machine safety initiatives, and hazard mitigation activities. \nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety, employee engagement, and operational excellence. \nAssist in coordinating contractor safety requirements and visitor safety processes as needed.\nSupport cross-functional initiatives involving Facilities, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Operations teams.\nKEY COMPENTENCIES\nSafety Mindset \nTraining & Employee Development \nCommunication & Collaboration \nAccountability \nRisk Identification & Mitigation \nContinuous Improvement \nOrganizational Skills \nEmployee Engagement & Relationship Building \nOperational Support & Cross-Functional Partnership\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety standards. \nExperience supporting employee training, onboarding, instructional activities, or safety education programs preferred. \nStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively across multiple departments and facilities. \nProficient with Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting/documentation tools. \nEDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nAssociate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. \n2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or operational safety environment preferred.\nCPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain preferred. \nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThis position is primarily on-site and is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments, with frequent presence on the shop floor. The role requires regular cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, Human Resourcesand Leadership teams.\nThe manufacturing environment may involve exposure to varying noise levels, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of a production facility. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.\nWhile performing the essential functions of this role, the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, lift, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems. The position may requireslifting and movement consistent with job responsibilities.\nThe role includes occasional presentation and communication responsibilities to executive leadership, including participation in quarterly business reviews.
