You will go deep into the needs of our core users and clients and support them on their end-to-end experience with Awardco. UX is evolving quickly as AI reshapes how design work gets done, and we’re looking for someone who’s curious about using these tools thoughtfully, not just quickly, to do their best work.\nThis internship has a target start date in April or May 2027 with an anticipated end date in August or September 2027 with the potential to extend. This is a full-time summer internship. \n*We currently have multiple product/engineer internships open at the moment. Please only apply to the internship that aligns most with where you want to pursue your career.*\nThe recruiting team will review applications October 2027.\nWhat you will do:\nApply user-centered design principles to improve the workflow, expand the functionality, and enhance the visual appeal of our platform.\nGather requirements from users and stakeholders, define information architecture, create sample user personas, and document user workflows, using AI tools to speed up research synthesis while applying your own judgment to catch what needs to to be corrected from AI output. \nDesign wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, including interactive, near-functional prototypes using AI-assisted or design-to-code tools to test ideas quickly with real users.\nPerform user research, usability testing, or facilitate focus groups, knowing when AI-generated summaries and insights need a closer human look.\nApply the results from user research and usability testing to create new features and improve current features, connecting design decisions to real business impact.\nWhat you will bring:\nEnrolled in a relevant bachelor’s degree program or within 1 year of completed program/relevant bootcamp certification.\nFamiliarity with core design software (Figma, Claude Code and Claude Design), plus hands-on comfort with other internal AI-assisted design and research tools, you don’t need to be an expert, but you should be actively experimenting with AI.\nAbility to think critically about AI-generated work: knowing when a first draft, prototype, or research summary is good enough to move forward, and when it needs more human judgment.\nCoachable and open to feedback.\nStrong communication and collaboration in a team environment.\nAccountable and ready to take ownership over assigned tasks/projects.\nStarting pay:\n$20-$25/hr\nWhy Awardco?\nWe have a revolutionary, client-approvedproduct.\nOne of the fastest growing companies in the nation: 3xInc. 500, 2xDeloitte Technology Fast 500, 2xMountain West Capital Network Fast 100, 3x Fast 50 (Utah Business), and 3x UV50 Fastest Growing Companies (BusinessQ), to name just a few.\nGreat Place to Work certified, ranked in Inc.
