We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the data engineering area, identify technical risks and gaps, and proactively suggest improvements.\nAt the beginning, you will receive full support, including a clear overview of the current setup, access to the necessary documentation, and a proper onboarding into the team. Once you are up to speed, we expect you to work independently, ask the right questions, challenge existing solutions, and help the team identify things that may be missing.\nWhat you'll do\nTake technical ownership of the data engineering area.\n\nBuild and improve data pipelines, transformations, and data models.\n\nAnalyse existing solutions and identify technical gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.\n\nTroubleshoot issues end to end — from source systems to the reporting layer.\n\nCollaborate with Power BI Developers, architects, and stakeholders.\n\nProvide technical guidance to BI developers and help the team make better technical decisions.\n\nEnsure the quality, stability, and continuous improvement of the data environment.\n\nRequirements\nSeveral years of experience in data engineering, including strong practical knowledge of SQL and data modelling.\n\nHands-on experience with Python or a similar programming language.\n\nExperience with Azure Data Services, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and/or Airflow.\n\nGood understanding of Power BI and reporting environments.\n\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across different layers of a data solution.\n\nAbility to work independently and take ownership.\n\nProactive mindset and willingness to challenge existing solutions.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\n\nWhat do we mean by “Lead”?\nYou will not manage a separate data engineering team.
